Tampa To Still Trade Chris Simms…

Draft weekend came and went with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers turning down several trade offers for 27 year old QB Chris Simms. Unfortunately for Simms, the Bucs actually drafted another QB, San Diego’s Josh Johnson. We’re hearing though that Tampa would still like to try and trade Simms sometime during training camp.

The team feels that if another NFL team experiences a QB going down with an injury, that Simms’ value will be inflated, and that they can get a solid 2009 pick for him.
