DET: Smith makes prediction

8/6: Rookie Kevin Smith feels so good during training camp that he predicts the Lions to win their first playoff game since 1957, according to the Detroit News. Smith also said he wants to win a Super Bowl within his first three campaigns, and believes the Lions are a sleeping giant. He will start by showing what he can do in his first exhibition game on Thursday (against the Giants), and he said, "I really want to show my teammates and coaches that I know what I am doing out there. I got a lot of people who want to see what I am doing. But overall I want to help the team and go out there and do the job I got to do."
