SD: Kiel dies after crashing car

7/5: Safety Terrence Kiel died late Saturday night when he was thrown from a car he was driving, the AP reports. The 27-year-old former Chargers player hit a wall in a San Diego neighborhood, and he died about an hour after the paramedics reached him. Friends had reportedly tried to stop Kiel from driving home from the party. Kiel was a second-round draft pick in 2003 and released in March of 2007.
