Imagine how good this man could be if a guy like Chad Johnson were added to his squad. Tony Romo would definitely become the hottest QB in fantasy football, with weapons like Ocho Cinco, T.O., Marion Barber and Jason Witten on his side. Oh yeah, and there’s another potential weapon that we shouldn’t fail to mention.
For the record, we do believe that Chad Johnson will be traded to the Cowboys - likely on draft day. Hey, if we’re wrong, we’re wrong, but if it sounds like it, smells like it and tastes like it - it’s likely it. Ocho Cinco wants out and Jerry Jones has what it takes to make it happen. Acquiring Chad Johnson and Pacman Jones and packing up his briefcase and going home early on draft day would probably feel pretty good to “Jerra.”
It would also feel damn good to Tony Romo’s dynasty and deep keeper owners as well, as surpassing last season’s totals of 4,211 yards and 36 TDs would seem like cake. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett is definitely smart enough to allow all of these stars to co-exist and keep them all happy. In other words, if you thought the Patriots’ offense was unbelievable in 2007, get ready to be blown away. That’s right, I said it. If the Cowboys acquire “85″ they’ll be the cream of the crop, baby. Will Chad’s fantasy value skyrocket? Yes. Will T.O.’s? Yes. Will Barber’s? Sure. Will Romo’s? Most certainly. Will Witten’s? Probably not - his value will remain steady though. And there’s one more Cowboy we have to highlight here - Anthony Fasano.
The third year TE from Notre Dame has similar skill sets to Witten, and is one tweaked hammy or rolled ankle away from being an every-down player. Dynasty owners and owners in leagues with deep rosters should keep Fasano in their back pockets, because if Witten ever goes down, this guy is the real deal and will step in and light up the stat column.
Come on, I’m not the only one who wants to see Ocho Cinco with a star on his helmet, am I?
