Know Your League’s Scoring System
October 28, 2008
It sounds simple, but it is extremely important that fantasy owners keep in mind their league’s scoring format when setting their line-ups. The value of various players differs drastically from league to league, as some formats award points only for touchdowns, while others go as far as to award fantasy points for receptions and even special teams return yardage. Andre & Randy Are Good To Go
October 7, 2008
After Week 1, life was good for owners of Randy Moss (six catches, 116 yards, one TD) and Andre Johnson (10 catches, 112 yards), as each star wide out had a solid statistical outing to start the season. However, in the weeks that ensued, both pass catchers gave their fantasy owners reason to be concerned, as the two combined for a mere 11 catches for 114 yards over their next two games. Read more
We Were Right About, We Were Wrong About
October 5, 2008
Larry Johnson came alive in Weeks 3 & 4, rushing for 319 yards and three TDs after a horrible start to the season. We told fantasy owners to avoid him in Week 5 as the Chiefs visited the Carolina Panthers. LJ rushed the rock seven times for a grand total of two freaking yards. Find out who else we were right about, and who we missed on in Week 5. Read more
Underachieving Wide Receivers
September 25, 2008
Inevitably, many fantasy owners find themselves dumbfounded and perplexed by the poor play of several wide receivers that were considered top of the line pass catchers heading into the 2008 season. Granted, one of them has only played two games, and another lost his starting QB in Week 1, but for the others, there seems to be no legitimate reason why they shouldn’t be playing well right now. Get Ready To See Sage Rosenfels
September 21, 2008
In Week 3, the Minnesota Vikings made a QB switch from Tarvaris Jackson to Gus Frerotte. Fortunately for their coaching staff, it resulted in a 20-10 Week 3 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Folks, the reason I’m telling you this is because the Houston Texans need to do the exact same thing. Read more
When To Keep A Quarterback
August 6, 2008
Recently, I had a fantasy football owner ask me a question that nearly stumped me. I know, weird, huh? Usually, I’m the guy that answers questions right away, with no hesitation in my voice – however, this was different, very different. You see, I’m not huge on fantasy QBs. I don’t believe in keeping them, or taking them in the first round, however, I met my match with this question, and my answer totally surprised me. Read more

2008 Fantasy “X-Factors”
June 19, 2008
2008 is chalked full of guys that could go either way. Guys who are more than capable of putting up huge digits, but only if everything goes perfectly right. We call these guys Fantasy “X-Factors” due to the fact that a certain set of circumstances could spark them to light up the stat column and become a true difference maker. Philly’s Donovan McNabb, who has only played in 33 total games in three seasons since throwing for 3,800 yards and 31 TDs in 2004, is the perfect example of a Fantasy “X-Factor.” Read more

Updates: Andre Johnson & Jacoby Jones…
June 2, 2008
Houston Texans WRs Andre Johnson, who is recovering from a May knee scope, and Jacoby Jones, who was plagued with nagging injuries as a rookie, are both feeling great about their chances to make a huge impact in Houston’s offense in 2008.
Johnson is becoming one of the better WRs in the NFL, and could be dominant if he can stay healthy. He says he’ll be ready by training camp, so we’ll monitor him closely, as he’ll easily be a top three fantasy WR if he plays all 16 games.
Jones is a dynasty league sleeper, as he has phenomenal athletic ability, but needs to fine tune his understanding of the game prior to earning the starting gig opposite Johnson. Don’t be surprised if Jones creeps up the depth chart this season though.
Dynasty Value vs. Seasonal Results
May 23, 2008
Andre Johnson’s recent knee injury prompted some serious discussion on our forums regarding his fantasy trade value. He happens to be the perfect example of a player who has solid dynasty value in spite of his most recent injury situation, due to the fact that when healthy, his ceiling is so high - and he has plenty more years left to play. The problem is that his seasonal outlook is very different. Read more
