Fantasy Impact: Paul Posluszny
July 30, 2008
Winning an IDP Fantasy Football league can be much easier that it sounds - if you develop a solid strategy. Don’t worry, this one won’t hurt your brain - it’s simple - let other owners waste early picks on high-priced individual defensive players, while you hoard invaluable offensive studs, and let IDP sleepers fall to you in the late rounds. Step one - identifying the best IDP sleepers. Read more

What Do Whitner & Rasheed Have In Common?
July 7, 2008
What to Buffalo Bills safety Donte Whitner and NBA Detroit Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace have in common? Well, now they’re both strongly linked to the word “guarantee.”
Back in 2004 and 2005, Wallace made headlines by guaranteeing wins during the NBA Playoffs, and now Whitner has followed in his footsteps by telling media that he guarantees the Bills will make the playoffs in 2008.
We like Buffalo, but this is a pretty ambitious statement, and definitely more than worthy of a “He-Man.”
Marshawn Lynch Cuts Deal With D.A.
June 20, 2008
WBEN in Buffalo reports that Bills stud RB Marshawn Lynch reportedly reached an agreement tonight with the district attorney, in regards to a hit-and-run accident two weeks ago that involved his vehicle. He plead guilty to a misdemeanor, but will avoid jail time.
No-Offseason Take: This seems very positive for Lynch’s overall status, although there’s a slight chance that he could be suspended for a short period of time by the NFL. On the field in 2008, he’s expected to be an absolute beast - especially in PPR leagues. See where he ranks.
Marshawn Lynch Update…
June 16, 2008
KFFL is reporting that the Buffalo Bills’ offense will become more vertical in 2008 under new offensive coordinator Turk Schonert, which is something that we’ve been monitoring all off-season. This should not only mean great news for WRs Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish, but also for RB Marshawn Lynch, who is expected to be featured as a receiver as well as a rusher.
KFFL also reports that Lynch’s alleged hit-and-run accident a few weeks ago has resulted in Bills COO Russ Brandon being subpoenaed to testify in front of a grand jury with regards to potential involvement from Buffalo Bills players. This could get interesting before the situation is resolved. We still don’t expect Lynch to miss any time on the field as a result.
Aaron Schobel Confident In Defense…
June 14, 2008
KFFL sites a Buffalo News article that references Bills DE Aaron Schobel’s newfound confidence in his team’s defense. We’ve jocked the Bills D, due to the addition of Marcus Stroud on the defensive line, WLB Kawika Mitchell and the return to health of MLB Paul Posluszny and FS Ko Simpson.
Expect the Bills defensive unit to be a solid one in 2008 from a fantasy standpoint, and for Schobel’s IDP value to rise a bit due to the presence of Stroud.
Lynch Can Skate Off With Misdemeanor…
June 12, 2008
As we suspected and reported earlier last week, it’s highly unlikely that Bills RB Marshawn Lynch will serve any jail time at all, or even face punishment from the NFL. One of our favorite reporters, ESPN’s John Clayton, has confirmed that the injuries the woman who Lynch allegedly hit with his car are extremely minor, and - if anything - this will just be a civil matter in which Lynch could owe her some money.
Big whoop.
In terms of his fantasy value, there are no worries at all.
Buffalo’s James Hardy Looking Good…
June 11, 2008
Reports from Buffalo Bills practices indicate that 6′5″ rookie WR James Hardy is looking pretty darn good. He’s grasping the offense well, and new OC Turk Schonert is able to do a little more with him because of it.
We’ve really liked Hardy since draft day, and he should have outstanding dynasty value, as well as be in the running to be the top seasonal WR candidate.
Marshawn Lynch Returns Early…
June 10, 2008
Bills second year stud RB Marshawn Lynch, who underwent Lasik eye surgery late last week, returned to practice today, a full day earlier than expected. Lynch should be full speed ahead when mini-camp begins tomorrow.
By the way, we’re not worried at all about his recent run in with the law. Even if he’s convicted in this recent hit and run debacle, he shouldn’t face harsh punishment, and won’t be suspended by the NFL or the Bills. Lynch is still a first round RB in all league formats.
Marshawn Lynch Curiously Has Lasik Surgery…
June 9, 2008
According to KFFL, the Associated Press is reporting that Bills RB Marshawn Lynch underwent Lasik eye surgery on Friday, June 6, and will be cleared to practice later this week.
The timing of this surgery is obviously very interesting and makes us curious as to whether or not Lynch’s lawyers put him up to the surgery. You see, if Lynch was in fact driving the car that hit a pedestrian woman in downtown Buffalo roughly 10 days ago, “vision problems” could be used as a reason why the driver didn’t see the woman crossing the street.
We’re totally speculating here, but “vision problems” sounds a lot better than “under the influence.”
Marshawn Lynch Showing Questionable Behavior?
June 6, 2008
Reports have now surfaced that witnesses place Bills RB Marshawn Lynch behind the steering wheel of an SUV that hit a pedestrian woman in downtown Buffalo late last Friday night/Saturday morning - then fled the scene. Multiple witnesses have also stepped forward and said that other Bills players were in the vehicle. Now, the district attorney is intent on finding out who was responsible and charging them with a crime. Since the vehicle that left the scene of the accident was registered to Lynch and found in his driveway days after, he’s definitely shown questionable behavior.
However, even if charged and convicted, he wouldn’t be likely to face harsh punishment, and being that it would be his “first offense,” commish Roger Goodell would be likely to let him go with a warning. So, as it relates to his fantasy value, we’re still standing by what we wrote the other day, that it shouldn’t be affected at all. We’re not sure what the legal ramifications would be, but facing any time in jail - when the woman wasn’t seriously injured - doesn’t seem likely at all.
