Coaching Changes Affect Fantasy

July 8, 2008

Coaching Changes Affect FantasyLast year, offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski helped turn a Cleveland Browns offense ranked 31st in 2006 into a top-10 attack. Chud wasn’t the only reason, but his previous experience in San Diego helped prepare him to turn the Browns into one of the most potent offenses in the NFL. As a result, the fantasy value of guys like Kellen Winslow, Braylon Edwards, Jamal Lewis and Derek Anderson shot through the roof. Read more

Demetrius Williams Still Hurting…

May 29, 2008

Ravens third year WR Demetrius Williams is still recovering from an Achilles injury that he suffered last season. He has not been able to return to practice full speed yet. This could open up a door for someone like rookie Marcus Smith to step in and play, due to the fact that Cam Cameron wants to use more three WR sets in 2008.

In other Ravens news, it appears second year signal caller Troy Smith is playing extremely well in practice - better than Kyle Boller and Joe Flacco.

Ravens To Use No-Huddle In 2008…

April 19, 2008

New Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and Cam Cameron have decided to install the no-huddle offense in 2008 despite the retirement of QB Steve McNair. We have a feeling this could mean good things for QB Troy Smith.

Smith actually played a lot better than Kyle Boller last season, and even if the Ravens draft BC QB Matt Ryan, Smith could be their starter to open the year.

We love this news for RB Willis McGahee’s value as well.

Second year LT Jared Gaither has played in place of Jonathan Ogden thus far in mini-camp. Gaither is 6′9″, 350 lbs.
