Fantasy Impact: Chris Johnson
August 13, 2008
I know, I know, it’s just the preseason - but fantasy owners have always been able to use the preseason as a gage for predicting what will happen from September through December. But, can one 66-yard TD run really make one player’s draft stock soar that much? Read more
Evans Has Chemistry With Edwards
July 31, 2008
Bills 27 year old fifth year WR Lee Evans has had a solid pro career thus far, despite not having much stability at the QB position. He began his career catching balls from veteran Drew Bledsoe, and has had to adjust to catching passes from J.P. Losman and Trent Edwards over the past two seasons. However, it looks like Evans and the Bills have finally found their fit in 2008. Read more

Chris vs. Chris: Johnson vs. Henry…
May 28, 2008
Titans RBs Chris Johnson and Chris Henry are both playing extremely well in practice. Johnson is apparently even speedier than advertised, as Titans teammates have been extremely impressed with his explosiveness. The rookie has lined up at tailback and wide receiver, and it’s apparent that Jeff Fisher and Mike Heimerdinger want his hands on the rock at least 15 times a game in 2008. Johnson is a solid seasonal sleeper and a phenomenal dynasty asset in PPR leagues.
Henry, on the other hand, will likely only be a factor on special teams until he can learn to pass protect better. He has little to no fantasy value right now.
Chris Johnson Lining Up At WR…
May 25, 2008
Titans first round pick Chris Johnson has reportedly been lining up at multiple positions, including wide receiver, during the team’s OTAs. Johnson is a playmaker, flat out, and in PPR leagues, we absolutley love him as a solid RB3 or flex option in 2008. In dynasty leagues, this kid is a future star, worthy of a top seven pick in rookie drafts.
Ron Dayne To Join Titans?
May 22, 2008
Free agent RB Ron Dayne is reportedly visiting the Tennessee Titans today. The 30 year old RB played well for Houston last season, but not well enough to stay on their roster this off-season.
He’s almost a clone of LenDale White, so if he signs to become part of Mike Heimerdinger’s offense, he’ll be more of a threat to White’s reps than those of rookie Chris Johnson - who Tennessee wants to spread out and play WR.
Tie Goes To The Raider
May 19, 2008
We’ve made it pretty clear how we feel about Raiders rookie RB Darren McFadden as a dynasty prospect, ranking him in our top 15 overall players. We’ve also have made it obvious that he’s the best seasonal rookie running back prospect. That’s why, at the conclusion of our recent No-Offseason Reader’s Poll, we’ve given the edge to D-Mac, even though just as many readers thought Jonathan Stewart was a better investment in 2008. Julius Owners: Don’t Believe Holmgren
May 9, 2008
Our sources aren’t buying into Mike Holmgren’s recent coach-speak about using a running back committee. Even though Julius Jones wasn’t spectacular by any means last season in Dallas, he is head and shoulders above Maurice Morris and T.J. Duckett. Our sources believe that Holmgren is using the media to send a message to his running backs that in mid-May, nobody should take anything for granted. However, Jones will definitely be the starter, and see the rock 20-25 times a game, assuming he stays healthy. We also hear that Jones has worked extremely hard in pass protection, and improving his receiving skills this off-season. In other words, Maurice Morris is not a threat to his fantasy value. How Fat Is LenDale White?
May 9, 2008
The Tennessee Titans third year RB - who now faces stiff competition from rookie Chris Johnson - seems a little over-confident heading into 2008, joking around with the media recently about his weight, telling people he wants them to “guess.” Well, LenDale wants us to guess just how fat he is, so - let’s do it.
He says he’s five to 10 pounds from “where he needs to be,” but we think the Titans probably aren’t too concerned with this issue any more. Still White’s fantasy owners need to be aware of Johnson, especially in PPR formats.
2008 Outlook: Welcome To Splittsville
May 6, 2008
Following the 2008 NFL Draft, it appears several more NFL teams will not only be using the dreaded “running back by committee,” but they’ll really be splitting reps up evenly between multiple rushers. For fantasy owners, it’s worked in New Orleans, Dallas and Jacksonville, but will the vision of NFL coaches in Carolina, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Houston translate into the same results?
