Housh Delivers On Promise…
November 2, 2008
Well, Bengals WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh made a bold prediction this past week - that Cincy would not go 0-16 this season. While it may not have appeared that Housh was setting his sights high for his squad, believe it or not, the way the Bengals had been playing - it looked like they had a serious chance to not win a game this season.
Housh hauled in seven passes for 65 yards, leading the Bengals in catches and receiving yards, as the Bengals beat the Jags, 21-19, moving them to 1-8 heading into their Week 10 bye.
Carson Palmer Not Starting Week 4
September 28, 2008
Hours before kick-off, NFL Network’s Adam Schefter broke the news that Bengals QB Carson Palmer will be the team’s third QB this week against Cleveland. Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the team’s starter, and Palmer’s brother, Jordan, will be the back-up. Read more
Rudi Released - Perry The Man In Cincy
August 30, 2008
The Cincinnati Bengals continue to make interesting decisions this off-season. After keeping a man who stirred it up more than Bob Marley while demanding a trade and wants to legally change his last name to Ocho Cinco, then cutting and re-signing a freaking criminal (Chris Henry), the franchise cut ties with a man who rushed for 1,300 yards and 12 TDs in three straight seasons. Fantasy Impact: Chris Henry Returns
August 21, 2008
During his first two seasons in the NFL, a young, 6’4”, 200 lb. physically gifted WR out of West Virginia named Chris Henry looked like an up and coming player with superstar fantasy potential. Not only was he big and talented, but he played on a team – the Cincinnati Bengals – that had one of the most explosive passing offenses in the league. Fantasy owners saw his potential in 2006 as he caught 36 balls for 605 yards and nine TDs as Cincy’s third WR. He looked like a player who would play a key role for years to come.. Read more
Chad’s New Last Name - Ocho Cinco
August 13, 2008
When ESPN’s Suzy Kolber asked Cincy’s Chad Johnson how his surgically repaired ankle felt during Monday Night’s match-up with Green Bay - he said he was “85 percent.”
Chad has always had a crazy infatuation with his jersey number, because he has a crazy infatuation with himself.
Chad, who nicknamed himself “Ocho Cinco” last year - which means “8″ and “5″ in Spanish (it doesn’t even mean “85″), has now officially lost his mind.
He has announced that he will legally change his last name to “Ocho Cinco.”
If this comes to fruition, it will be the most ridiculous thing we’ve seen happen this year. But the mere mention of the possibility on his part, deserves a solid “He-Man” from us.

Chad Johnson Will Be Fine For Training Camp…
June 19, 2008
Updating our reports from yesterday, the Cincinnati Bengals continue to say that Chad Johnson will be at full health for training camp. Apparently the procedure to clean out bone spurs and chips from his right ankle went very well yesterday.
Ocho Cinco is a top end WR2 in all leagues in 2008.
Chad Johnson Update - Surgery Today…
June 18, 2008
Word is that Chad Johnson had surgery on his ankle today, but is expected to be fully ready by training camp, according to KFFL.
Sirius NFL Radio made some good points today about Chad being stupid to wait until now to have the surgery. He’ll be a step slow, folks, so beware. Still, he’s a solid WR2 in all formats.
Chad Johnson To Have Minor Ankle Surgery…
June 17, 2008
NFL Network reported that Bengals WR Chad Johnson will have minor ankle surgery to remove bone chips. Johnson’s agent Drew Rosenhaus hinted at the surgery last week when Johnson showed up at Bengals three-day mini-camp. Word is that he’ll be ready for training camp, but maybe this will shut him up for a little while and cause him to actually focus on football.
We’re a little weary of Johnson’s fantasy value at this point. Not that he won’t be a fantasy starter, but he may not be the solid WR1 that he has been for the last few seasons. Still, in rounds three through five of fantasy drafts this summer, he’s a great value pick.
Rudi Johnson Looked Great In Mini-Camp…
June 16, 2008
According to KFFL, the Dayton Daily News reports that Bengals veteran RB Rudi Johnson looked great in mini-camp last week. The words “smooth” and “sleek” were used to describe him and he also reportedly showed great speed.
These are traits we haven’t ever heard to describe Johnson. Are they sure they got the right guy? We don’t buy it. Sorry, but Rudi is still just a veteran back with his best days behind him. We recommend fantasy owners use this positive news to sell him while they can still salvage something out of what’s left of his value.
Gimpy Chad Johnson: “Vote For Obama”
June 15, 2008
The storylines surrounding Bengals WR Chad Johnson just continue to increase by the day. This guy is like a walking version of MTV. In fact, that’s not a bad idea. Can somebody just get Chad his own TV show? Seriously.
First, he reluctantly reported to Bengals mini-camp last week but didn’t participate on Thursday. Then, he ran routes and participated in 11-on-11 drills on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Bengals offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski has said Johnson looks “gimpy” on his ankle, and has had trouble with his back, prompting the organization to consider pushing Johnson towards having arthroscopic ankle surgery prior to training camp on July 27.
Wow.
Then, as if that wasn’t enough - all Chad said to media this weekend was “vote for Obama.”
Chad Johnson To Attend Training Camp…
June 14, 2008
KFFL says that the Cincinnati Enquirer has recently reported that Chad Johnson will report to Bengals training camp in July. His agent Drew Rosenhaus is the messenger on this one. Great news for now, but don’t be surprised if some more drama ensues. Chad’s value will increase as August approaches.
