Ravens WR Demetrius Williams Returns…
June 5, 2008
After missing seven games in 2007 and all of practice this off-season up until now with an Achilles injury, third year WR Demetrius Williams returned to Ravens practice today. Williams is a long shot to make a fantasy impact in 2008, but is someone to keep an eye on due to the fact that he enters his third season, and new OC Cam Cameron loves three-WR sets.
Demetrius Williams Still Hurting…
May 29, 2008
Ravens third year WR Demetrius Williams is still recovering from an Achilles injury that he suffered last season. He has not been able to return to practice full speed yet. This could open up a door for someone like rookie Marcus Smith to step in and play, due to the fact that Cam Cameron wants to use more three WR sets in 2008.
In other Ravens news, it appears second year signal caller Troy Smith is playing extremely well in practice - better than Kyle Boller and Joe Flacco.
The New-Look Baltimore Ravens…

Just because none of the personnel has really changed for the Ravens starting offense, doesn’t mean that there won’t be some drastic differences in what fantasy owners see from guys like Derrick Mason, Mark Clayton and Demetrius Williams in 2008. New OC Cam Cameron wants to use three wide receiver sets as the team’s base formation in 2008, as well as highlighting TE Todd Heap and RB Willis McGahee as featured weapons.
McGahee was apparently pulled from games in the fourth quarter last season due to poor conditioning, meaning he’ll have to be ready for his 30 touches a game this season.
Rookie Marcus Smith, a fourth rounder from New Mexico, should also compete to play as a rookie.
