We Were Right About, We Were Wrong About
October 12, 2008
Vikings WR Bernard Berrian got off to an extremely slow start this season, catching only three balls for 38 yards in his first two games. However, over the last three weeks, he’s been one of the NFL’s hottest receivers, and we predicted his breakout game against the Lions in Week 6. Read more
Week 6 Waiver Wire WRs
October 8, 2008
Many fantasy owners are looking for bye-week fill-ins and injury replacements in Week 6, and there are plenty of options to choose from, including Denver’s Brandon Stokley, who has hauled in 13 passes for 132 yards and a TD in the last two weeks. Read more
We Were Right About, We Were Wrong About
October 5, 2008
Larry Johnson came alive in Weeks 3 & 4, rushing for 319 yards and three TDs after a horrible start to the season. We told fantasy owners to avoid him in Week 5 as the Chiefs visited the Carolina Panthers. LJ rushed the rock seven times for a grand total of two freaking yards. Find out who else we were right about, and who we missed on in Week 5. Read more

“Slot RBs” Are Becoming All The Rage
June 20, 2008
It started a couple years ago when the New Orleans Saints had versatile running back Reggie Bush “fall” to them at number two overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. The trend I’m referring to of course is running backs that play wide receiver more than they do halfback - aka “slot RBs.” Our sources around the NFL have confirmed that more and more teams will start using their back-up RBs as slot receivers, in an effort to add more explosive elements to throw off opposing defenses. Bears’ Hester & Lloyd Look Solid…
June 15, 2008
Rotoworld reports that WRs Devin Hester and Brandon Lloyd look like the two best pass catchers at Bears practices this off-season, and that Mark Bradley is out of the mix right now.
We really like Hester as a deep sleeper in leagues that require three or more starters at WR. We’re definitely not sold on Lloyd though, as he seems like someone who would “impress” in practice, but his track record in games recently has not been good - both in San Francisco and Washington. In other words, he’s had his shot.
Hester, on the other hand, could be a fantasy gem waiting to explode.
Bears Revamping Offense?
May 30, 2008
The Chicago Bears have made it very clear that nobody’s starting jobs are safe in terms of offensive skill positions. Kyle Orton and Rex Grossman will duke it out for the starting QB spot, while Matt Forte and Cedric Benson will battle for the starting RB spot.
We love the fact that there will actually be one winner of the RB job, and our money is on Forte.
As far as the wide receiver jobs go, Devin Hester, Mark Bradley, Brandon Lloyd, Marty Booker, Earl Bennett and Marcus Monk will vie for two starting spots. Hester and Bennett are the most intriguing prospects. Monk is a very talented, 6′5″ sleeper prospect who could make an impact in the red zone down the line.
Hester, Vilma, Porter, Gaffney, Koutouvides Rising…
March 25, 2008
Rising - Devin Hester, Bears WR - There is a bit of buzz going around right now regarding third year 25 year old speedster Devin Hester. In his first two seasons in the league, he’s already established himself as the game’s premier return man and perhaps one of the best return specialists of all time. The Hester at wide receiver experiment in 2007 didn’t exactly light the world on fire, but he still caught a reasonable 20 passes for 299 yards and two TDs. Our eyebrows are officially raised folks, as Hester currently sits atop Chicago’s WR depth chart. Brandon Lloyd, Marty Booker and Mark Bradley aren’t likely to be fantasy studs, but Hester has Lee Evans type potential if he can fine tune his route running and hands. Read more
Hester To Play WR Full Time In 2008?
March 9, 2008
Third year super return artist and former cornerback Devin Hester is reportedly a great bet to become an every down WR in 2008. Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner recently told media members that he believes Hester is coming along well, learning all of the routes necessary for him to be on the field all the time, prior to the team’s offseason workouts even beginning. Hester is expected to spend the entire offseason with the Bears, running routes and fine-tuning his receiver skills, according to our sources.
