Tom Brady Out For The Season With ACL Tear…
September 7, 2008
Well folks, it looks like the man who we told fantasy owners countless times NOT to pick in the first round of their fantasy drafts this summer, Tom Brady, is out for the season with a torn ACL. But what impact will Brady’s absence have on the rest of the Patriots’ squad? Read more
Fantasy Football Week 1 - IDP Questions
September 5, 2008
As fantasy owners get ready for Week 1, there are several question marks surrounding individual defensive players. Can Mario Williams take over Jared Allen as fantasy’s number one defensive end? How will the Giants fare with Justin Tuck and Mathias Kiwanuka at DE? Can Jacksonville’s Mike Peterson and New Orleans’ Jonathan Vilma make comebacks? And, who will boom and bust? Read more

Merriman Will Play Through Torn Ligaments
August 27, 2008
First of all, Chargers 24 year old LB Shawne Merriman gave himself the nickname “Light’s Out” - referring to what the sack monster does to opposing QBs. That fact alone is worth a big “He-Man.” However, the young immature Merriman took his He-Man status to a whole new level today, by foregoing orders by four different doctors to have season ending surgery on two torn ligaments in his knee - an LCL and a PCL.
This may be the absolute dumbest thing we’ve ever heard. This meat head is actually going to play through two torn ligaments, risking a career ending scenario. His IDP value still plummets with this news.
The Chargers shouldn’t allow him to be this foolish, but risking his body and playing through what has to be excruciating pain is worthy of yet another He-Man honor. This is right up there with former 49ers safety Ronnie Lott chopping his finger off.

The Top Fantasy IDPs
August 14, 2008
Each and every year, a plethora of fantasy football owners decide to partake in an IDP league for the first time. Let me tell you, while it’s exciting to leave behind the boring world of team defense and add six new starting line-up positions, it definitely opens up a whole new realm of research that needs to happen for each and every one of the new owners. Thomas Davis Predicts Career Year…
August 13, 2008
Since he entered the league as a rookie strong safety in 2005, we’ve known former Georgia product Thomas Davis can flat out play the game. Unfortunately, for IDP owners, he’s been stuck in Carolina as a strong side linebacker his entire career, which as prevented him the opportunities necessary to produce fantasy worthy numbers. However, we’ve received word that he’s moving to WLB in 2008, which means he could be a force to be reckoned with.
And he certainly thinks so. Recently, Davis told the media that he’s expecting a breakout career year in 2008. IDPers should keep an eye on this situation, because if he does in fact play the weak side, he will be a great fantasy sleeper in 2008.
Wilson: “I’m The Best Safety In The NFL”…
July 31, 2008
Cardinals strong safety Adrian Wilson, a Pro Bowler in 2006, welcomed himself back to the NFL after an injury-shortened 2007 season. Wilson was easily the top fantasy defensive back in 2005 and 2006, but struggled in Ken Whisenhunt’s defense prior to being injured last year.
He’s called himself the best safety in the NFL, and is apparently motivated to absolutely have a monster year. The soon to be 29 year old Wilson is a beast at 6′3″, 230, and we wouldn’t bet against him being extremely fantasy worthy in 2008. He and FS Antrel Rolle will be solid IDP sleepers this year.
Understanding The IDP Picture
July 31, 2008
Year in and year out, fantasy football owners that play in individual defensive player formats, are tempted to take high-priced linebackers in the mid-rounds of their drafts, to ensure some point production. This is not the smartest way to win an IDP league, however, and can be especially difficult for IDP beginners to grasp. Read more
Fantasy Impact: Jonathan Vilma
July 31, 2008
Winning an IDP Fantasy Football league can be much easier that it sounds - if you develop a solid strategy.
