Larry Johnson To Turn Things Around?
October 27, 2008
Our sources tell us that Chiefs RB Larry Johnson is extremely remorseful for his behavior during Kansas City’s bye a few weeks ago. He recently turned himself in and was formally charged by the police for simple assault, then released on $500 bond. Read more

Bye-Week Blessings
October 9, 2008
While fantasy owners were dreading the Week 6 byes of guys like Chris Johnson, Lee Evans, Hines Ward, Marshawn Lynch, Dwayne Bowe, Larry Johnson and Ben Roethlisberger, the fact of the matter is that the break couldn’t have come at a better time for just about all of the teams sitting one out. Tomlinson & Larry Johnson Are Falling Fast…
September 14, 2008
Every week this time of year is pretty darn crazy, as fantasy owners still have no idea what to expect with regards to several things. How will top players battle through slumps? Will guys who blew up last week continue to play well, or are they fool’s gold? Our Week 3 stock market report takes a look at who is rising and falling based on what has happened during the first two weeks of the NFL season. Read more
Rashard Mendenhall Is A Beast
August 15, 2008
Our sources tell us that they saw what they hoped they’d see out of Steelers first round draft pick Rashard Mendenhall in his preseason NFL debut against the Philadelphia Eagles – the makings of the NFL’s next great featured back. It may seem hard to tell in only seven carries, but our sources are convinced that the 5’11”, 225 pound versatile power back will replace Willie Parker sooner rather than later in the Steelers’ offense. Jamaal Charles To See 10-12 Carries A Game?
June 12, 2008
Chiefs head coach Herm Edwards told the media that rookie RB Jamaal Charles would see 10-12 carries a game in 2008. This was in context of talking about Larry Johnson’s workload. Edwards said Johnson would be “lucky” to get 30 touches a game in 2008, but that he’d still see the workload of a featured back.
It’s interesting that Edwards is talking about this, because it seemed like an obvious assumption. The real news here is that Charles is likely to see more action than many of us thought in year one, and that Kolby Smith appears to be third on the depth chard. Charles’ dynasty value just took a solid step in the right direction with these comments. More to come.
Branden Albert Injury Update…
June 11, 2008
After being carted off the field during practice the other day, Chiefs rookie OT Branden Albert is apparently only dealing with a sprained ankle, an injury that will not keep him from missing any time in training camp.
Rotoworld reported that Albert threw out the first pitch at a Royals game recently, and seemed fine on the ankle and in good spirits about the injury. We believe Albert’s presence will definitely help Larry Johnson have a solid season in K.C. in 2008.
Branden Albert Injures Ankle…
June 9, 2008
The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a horrible scare yesterday when first round OT Branden Albert injured his ankle in practice and needed to be carted off the field. The severity of the injury is not known at this time, but head coach Herm Edwards was optomistic.
Still, this could be a blow to Larry Johnson’s fantasy potential if Albert misses significant time.
Larry Johnson Misses Practice Sunday…
June 8, 2008
Chiefs RB Larry Johnson sat out practice Sunday due to his foot injury. We believe that it was strictly precautionary and that L.J. has not had a setback.
We’ll continue to follow him throughout the off-season, but right now, we believe he’s a top end RB2 in all leagues.
