July 2, 2008
While finding solid defensive linemen is one of the most challenging tasks for IDP owners, finding defensive backs that can contribute is one of the most unpredictable. Find out why defensive backs should be the last players taken - other than kickers - in most IDP leagues. Read more
Leodis McKelvin Looks Like A Star…
May 21, 2008
Word out of Bills practices is that rookie 11th overall pick Leodis McKelvin looks like he could be a superstar. He’s played well with the first team this week, and has taken reps at all three CB spots.
We’re starting to become really high on him - similar to how we felt about Derrelle Revis as a rookie last year.
Leodis McKelvin Has IDP Potential…
May 1, 2008
Bills first round draft choice Leodis McKelvin will apparently waltz right into Buffalo’s starting line-up opposite Terrence McGee, and he has Ashton Youboty fighting for a roster spot.
McKelvin could be this year’s Darrelle Revis, who stepped in and played right away for the New York Jets last year, after being taken in the mid-first round.
The fact that he’ll likely return punts and possibly kicks only adds to his fantasy value.
Buffalo Bills Take Leodis McKelvin…
April 26, 2008
The Bills swooped up top-rated CB Leodis McKelvin from Troy with the 11th overall pick. He won’t be a huge fantasy producer from day one, but his presence will help the Bills’ unit become an option. McKelvin will also return kicks for Buffalo.
Patriots Meet With McKelvin & DRC…
April 21, 2008
The Patriots have reportedly met with both Leodis McKelvin (CB, Troy) and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (CB, Tennessee State). New England needs a corner and will likely draft one of these two, or USC DT Sedrick Ellis with the 7th overall pick.
We should also note that Ravens director of scouting Eric DeCosta recently told the media that Rodgers-Cromartie might be the best cover corner in this year’s draft. DeCosta also added that he thinks it’ll take DRC longer to develop, adding that he’s not exactly ready to step on the field and play just yet.
