Michael Bush Could Garner Large Role
September 19, 2008
We’ve been telling Michael Bush’s long term owners to stay patient with him. The 6′1″, 260 lb. back from Louisville is dynamic and has first round talent despite being selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Now, as the 2008 NFL season starts to unfold, Bush is starting to look like he could play a huge role in Oakland’s offense. Read more
Williams & Brown Each Want 1,000 Yards…
July 27, 2008
In possibly one of the greatest He-Man-like developments in the history of players making extremely bold, yet entertaining predictions about themselves, 31 year old Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams, who played in about a quarter of a game last season prior to tearing his pectoral muscle and finishing the year on injured reserve, has come out and said that both he and Dolphins starter Ronnie Brown each believe they can rush for 1,000 yards in 2008 - a feat that has never been accomplished before.
Not only would fantasy owners love to see this happen, but so would guys named Bill Parcells, Tony Sparano, Chad Henne, John Beck and Josh McCown - they need all the help they can get.
Discuss this outrageous He-Man on our forums.
Shockey Traded, Fantasy Value Rises Huge…
July 21, 2008
It’s not very often that two of the NFL’s biggest names get traded within 24 hours of one another, but lucky us - it happened this week, as Washington acquired Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Taylor, and New Orleans saved Jeremy Shockey from a situation he did not want to be in. In this week’s stock market report, find out why fantasy owners of Taylor and Shockey should be just as happy about the moves. Read more
Fantasy Impact: Ronnie Brown

Ronnie Brown Injury Update…
June 12, 2008
CBSSports.com reports that Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano told media after practice today that RB Ronnie Brown continued to take steps in the right direction towards being fully ready to go by training camp.
Brown did most of the team work, and we consider him a solid top tier RB2 with the potential to regain his former status as a solid fantasy RB1. We’re not too worried about the presence of Ricky Williams, as there will be more than enough carries to go around under Sparano.
Ricky Williams Looks Solid…
June 7, 2008
Rotoworld reports that the South Florida Sun Sentinel is confident that 31 year old RB Ricky Williams has far and away been the best player in Dolphins practices recently.
We’re not taking too much stock in it, because there still hasn’t been any contact at practices, so running backs really can’t be properly evaluated next to the rest of the team. Still, this positive news bodes well for his 2008 fantasy potential.
Feeling Good About Ronnie Brown…
June 5, 2008
Before Ronnie Brown’s third season ended due to a torn ACL, he was on pace for 2,200 total yards, 11 TDs and 89 catches - numbers that would have made him a top three overall pick heading into 2008 fantasy football drafts.
We’re hearing that Brown is seeing increased reps in OTAs, and is on schedule to make a full recovery by the time the season starts. He’s able to do more and more every day, which is a great sign. Brown could definitely be the workhorse in Tony Sparano’s offense, and while he’ll see relief from Ricky Williams, he’s still worthy of an early to mid third round pick in seasonal formats - where he’ll be a great value.
Ronnie Brown vs. Ricky Williams…
May 22, 2008
Both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams participated in Dolphins practice yesterday and looked very good recovering from their respective injuries. Brown is the better seasonal and dynasty option, as he’s likely a legit RB2 in 2008, but Williams will share the load and contribute a bit, as Bill Parcells reportedly made that very clear to him behind closed doors recently.
Ricky Williams Comes Ready To Play…
May 15, 2008
Dolphins RB Ricky Williams told media recently that he thinks he’ll be a contributor in 2008 and likely split carries with Ronnie Brown. Rotoworld also reports that Brown and Williams will split carries in 2008.
Tony Sparano and Bill Parcells favor committees, but the good news is that there should be more than enough carries to go around.
Brown doesn’t lose any value in dynasty formats, but he slips a bit in seasonal leagues with this news. We’ll monitor this of course.
The Dolphins Love John Beck
April 25, 2008
Our sources tell us that the Dolphins are extremely high on second year QB - former 40th overall pick in the NFL Draft - John Beck. With Jake Long now slotted to play left tackle and protect his blind side, Tony Sparano and Bill Parcells reportedly expect big things from the former BYU star. New OC Dan Henning’s offense is pretty darn conservative, but fantasy owners can look for Philip Rivers circa 2006 digits out of Beck if all goes well. Yes folks, this means John Beck could actually be a worthy fantasy back-up QB in deep leagues next year. Read more
Hester To Play WR Full Time In 2008?
March 9, 2008
Third year super return artist and former cornerback Devin Hester is reportedly a great bet to become an every down WR in 2008. Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner recently told media members that he believes Hester is coming along well, learning all of the routes necessary for him to be on the field all the time, prior to the team’s offseason workouts even beginning. Hester is expected to spend the entire offseason with the Bears, running routes and fine-tuning his receiver skills, according to our sources.
