LaMont In Limbo

June 13, 2008

lamont-jordan.jpgIt’s been one heck of an off-season for Raiders RB LaMont Jordan. Not only has his own team told him that he’s not welcome at practice or in their facility, but they also refuse to release him. Now, our sources are telling us just how hard it will be for Jordan to find a new home when the Raiders finally do set him free. Read more

Kevin Jones Still Searching For A Home…

June 11, 2008

Recent reports indicate that Kevin Jones is interested in playing for the Chicago Bears, now that Cedric Benson has been released. Jones reportedly looked phenomenal in a couple recent workouts, and believes he has value close to the $3 million range for a one-year deal. We’re not going to deny it, Jones probably would be a great fit in Chicago, and a nice insurance policy for rookie Matt Forte - who is likely to enter the season as Chicago’s starter.

Jones, along with Travis Henry, Shaun Alexander and Ron Dayne, still do not have homes, which is definitely making it harder for all of them to get a deal they want from a monetary standpoint. Each of them will likely have to take incentive-laden deals if they want to remain in the NFL.

Kevin Jones & Ron Dayne Update…

June 1, 2008

What’s up with the NFL’s two best free agent RBs? Sorry Shaun Alexander, we’re talking about Kevin Jones and Ron Dayne. Well, Jones has looked phenomenal in recent workouts, and has another one scheduled for June 28. He’s reportedly received offers from several teams, but nothing that has been the right fit for him. He’ll sign somewhere soon, and even though his dynasty value is basically shot, he’ll still be a deep sleeper in seasonal leagues.

Dayne will likely sign somewhere during training camp as well, but neither back is showing a sense of urgency.

Ron Dayne Visits Tennessee…

May 25, 2008

The Titans didn’t sign Ron Dayne during his visit and workout in Nashville, but he reportedly looked good. Dayne will land somewhere, but it won’t be Tennessee. We wouldn’t be surprised if Denver ends up being a possibility.

Ron Dayne To Join Titans?

May 22, 2008

Free agent RB Ron Dayne is reportedly visiting the Tennessee Titans today. The 30 year old RB played well for Houston last season, but not well enough to stay on their roster this off-season.

He’s almost a clone of LenDale White, so if he signs to become part of Mike Heimerdinger’s offense, he’ll be more of a threat to White’s reps than those of rookie Chris Johnson - who Tennessee wants to spread out and play WR.
