We Were Right About, We Were Wrong About

November 16, 2008

We Were Right About, We Were Wrong About Packers RB Ryan Grant is one of the NFL’s hottest RBs, rushing for 411 yards and three TDs in his last four games, including a season high 145 yards in Week 11. We predicted that Grant would be a very solid fantasy starter against the Bears, and should be in all line-ups next week against the Saints. Read more

Who We Like, Who We Dislike

October 9, 2008

Who We Like, Who We Dislike Even though Week 6 is shaping up to be the week of the quarterbacks, there are quite a few WRs we like to have solid weeks, including St. Louis’ Torry Holt, San Diego’s Vincent Jackson and  - believe it or not - Cincy’s Chad Johnson. Read more

Week 2 - Who We Like, Who We Dislike

September 12, 2008

Week 2 - Who We Like, Who We Dislike As Sunday gets closer, Week 2 gets crazier and crazier. Marques Colston is already out, Brian Griese has been named the starter in Tampa over Jeff Garcia, and now Packers RB Ryan Grant - among others - looks somewhat questionable for Sunday’s games. However, there are still a few things we can pinpoint in terms of what we like and dislike about Week 2. Read more

August 9, 2008

Fantasy Impact: Ryan Grant Last week, we told you not to be worried about the potential holdouts of Packers RB Ryan Grant, and Rams RB Steven Jackson. Well, we are right about one of them already, now there’s only one to go - but we’re still not worried about him either. Read more

Grant Signs, Smith Fights, Games Begin…

August 4, 2008

In a freaking wacky week in the NFL, there was a fight that ended with a star receiver getting suspended, an undrafted RB signed a four year, $30 million contract, and a retired legend returned to a team that had said only days earlier that they did not want him. Sifting through the mess, take a look at who’s fantasy football stock is rising and falling during the first official week of the NFL preseason. Read more

Worried About Potential Holdouts?

July 29, 2008

Worried About Potential Holdouts? I believe I know fantasy owners very well, and if I’m correct, then a lot of them are worried about the contract situation of Rams  25 year old RB Steven Jackson and Packers 25 year old RB Ryan Grant. Last season at this time, Chiefs RB Larry Johnson held out until just before the start of the regular season, resulting in one of his worst starts as a pro. Read more

GB: Grant, Packers, still negotiating

July 24, 2008

Ryan Grant (RB) 7/24: Ryan Grant and the Packers are working their way toward resolving the contract impasse that has Grant threatening to sit out camp, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Overall, the majority of the money we're willing to put into performance-based pay," agent Alan Herman said. "The better he does, the more money he makes. It's a no-brainer."

GB: Grant intends to report

A Third Brandon Enters The Picture

July 3, 2008

brandon-jackson.jpgEvery fantasy owner knows the names Brandon Marshall and Brandon Jacobs, but do they know the name Brandon Jackson? The 2007 second round pick from Nebraska failed to impress as a rookie, but find out why you better learn about him heading into 2008. Read more

Packers’ Ryan Grant Continues To Sit Out…

June 18, 2008

25 year old Packers standout RB Ryan Grant continues to attend Packers practice, but sit out due to contract negotiations. We’ve always said he’s one of the smartest RBs in the NFL, and we think this proves it.

There’s absolutely no reason for him to practice prior to July if he’s seeking a new deal. Unlike Tampa’s Earnest Graham and New York’s Plaxico Burress, Grant is handling this the right way with management.

Yes, Brandon Jackson is getting more reps right now due to Grant sitting out, but ultimately, Grant will get a deal done and be the Packers clear cut starter and featured back again in 2008. We believe he’s worthy of a first round pick on all formats.
