2008 Is Make Or Break For Moss…

Giants WR Sinorice Moss is entering his third season in 2008, after being selected in the second round of the 2006 draft, and he needs to step up his game - big time. Moss hasn’t really done anything at all since entering the league, and while he has great talent and speed, he’s well aware that this is a make or break year for him.
Giants GM Jerry Reese recently told media that Moss will contribute more in 2008, but with 2007 second rounder Steve Smith playing well, and the Giants adding Mario Manningham in the third round of the 2008 draft, we find it hard to believe that Moss will be a factor.
Julius Owners: Don’t Believe Holmgren

Our sources aren’t buying into Mike Holmgren’s recent coach-speak about using a running back committee. Even though Julius Jones wasn’t spectacular by any means last season in Dallas, he is head and shoulders above Maurice Morris and T.J. Duckett. Our sources believe that Holmgren is using the media to send a message to his running backs that in mid-May, nobody should take anything for granted. However, Jones will definitely be the starter, and see the rock 20-25 times a game, assuming he stays healthy. We also hear that Jones has worked extremely hard in pass protection, and improving his receiving skills this off-season. In other words, Maurice Morris is not a threat to his fantasy value. Mini-camps are here, and there are several factors affecting player value. Some guys are changing positions, while others are getting beat out and are likely to lose playing time.
