Tarvaris Jackson Looking Solid…

May 28, 2008

Word from Vikings practice is that third year signal caller Tarvaris Jackson has stepped up his game big time this off-season and is looking great.

He’s way more comfortable with his reads, progressions and throws this off-season, and is becoming a leader on the field.

He’s also worked on developing solid chemistry specifically with receivers Bernard Berrian and Sidney Rice, both of whom are solid dynasty sleepers in our book.

We’ve always had faith in Jackson, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see him becoming an up-and-comer among fantasy circles leading up to 2008 drafts.

Tarvaris Jackson Still Vikings Starter…

April 28, 2008

This according to Brad Childress, Vikings head coach.

Vikes Grab JDB In Round Five…

April 27, 2008

The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly THRILLED that USC QB John David Booty fell to them at the beginning of the fifth round of the NFL Draft. Our sources already believe that JDB will be the Vikings’ starting QB at some point this season. We still like Tarvaris Jackson, but if he doesn’t work out, JDB could be a solid player. He doesn’t have any seasonal value at this point, and is barely on the dynasty radar.

Gus Frerotte Signs With Vikings…

April 9, 2008

Minnesota is saying that despite the signing of soon-to-be 37 year old QB Gus Frerotte, third year QB Tarvaris Jackson will remain their starter in 2008. Unlike most sites, we actually have a ton of confidence in Jackson’s potential to produce some solid fantasy numbers, and manage the Vikes passing attack.

Should Frerotte get any starts in 2008 due to an injury to Jackson, however, he’ll be a decent waiver wire snag and start guy, as he’s very capable of lighting up the stat column and still looks 27 years old when executing the vertical passing game.
