Cowboys May Have No Choice But To Play Tashard

December 4, 2008

Cowboys May Have No Choice But To Play Tashard We told fantasy owners how much we liked Tashard Choice way back before the NFL Draft this past off-season. After Dallas drafted both he and Felix Jones, it looked like Choice may not have the dynasty potential we thought he would in a different situation. However, now that Jones is out for the season, and starter Marion Barber is nursing an injured foot, the Cowboys may have no choice, but to play the talented rookie. Read more

Philip Rivers’ Knee Ready For 2008

July 21, 2008

Philip Rivers Knee Ready For 2008 Many fantasy football owners have asked us about Philip Rivers’ status this off-season. The concern is that Rivers underwent reconstructive knee surgery this off-season after basically losing his entire ACL via playing through a serious injury in the AFC Championship game against New England. The Impact Of Marion Barber’s Deal

May 22, 2008

marion-barber.jpgMost of the time, fantasy owners couldn’t care less about contract news, especially when the news involves players staying with their current team. However, in Marion Barber’s case, fantasy owners may not realize what just occurred. Had Marion Barber not re-upped with Dallas, inking a seven year, $40+ million deal on Tuesday afternoon, the dynasty outlook of a couple young running backs could have drastically changed entering 2008 rookie drafts. Marion Barber Signs Seven Year Deal…

May 21, 2008

Well, if there was any doubt at all that Marion Barber was going to be a dynasty stud, that’s all been erased. The Cowboys inked him to a seven year deal, including $16 million guaranteed, meaning he’s their featured back for at least the next few seasons. Barber should be in for his biggest statistical season yet, and while rookies Felix Jones and Tashard Choice may play a small role, their dynasty value has been significantly limited with his move.

Tashard Choice Looks Great…

May 8, 2008

Apparently, Cowboys rookie RB Tashard Choice is impressing coaches with his pass protection skills right out of the gate - a very hard thing for a rookie to do. Dallas is starting to envision Choice as a Marion Barber clone. He’s definitely someone to keep an eye on in deep dynasty leagues.

Choice likely won’t be a fantasy factor in 2008, but with Marion Barber’s contract situation coming up at the end of 2008, he’s a solid super sleeper for 2009.

Dallas Boosts RB Spot With Choice…

April 27, 2008

In an interesting move, the Dallas Cowboys added yet another offensive weapon in their backfield by selecting Georgia Tech RB Tashard Choice. We’re surprised a team like Houston didn’t grab him in the third round, but apparently they like Ahman Green and Chris Brown.

Anyway, Choice now becomes Dallas’ third string RB behind Marion Barber and Felix Jones. We REALLY like him though, so keep an eye on him in deep dynasty formats. If someone in big D goes down, he could step in and do the job.

Tashard Choice Wants In To HOF…

April 24, 2008

Before his name has even been called on draft day, Georgia Tech RB Tashard Choice already has himself making the pro football hall of fame. He-Man.

Even though the comments to Yahoo Sports were a bit much, we like the kid and think he has a solid chance of being a fantasy sleeper depending on where he ends up.

Broncos Choose Choice - 2nd Round Continues

April 8, 2008

tashard-choice1.jpgAs the second round of our NFL Mock Draft continues, things will only get more interesting - I promise. The surprise of the draft happens today, when the Denver Broncos are on the clock. It’s our strong opinion that they absolutely need to improve at running back, as neither Travis Henry, Selvin Young or Andre Hall can do the job. So, who do they choose? A man named Choice.
