June 5, 2008

Will Franklin To Start For Chiefs?
May 27, 2008
We’re hearing that the starting WR spot opposite Dwayne Bowe in Kansas City is wide open, and that 6′1″ rookie Will Franklin from Missouri is a legit candidate to win the gig. Franklin, who has played very well in practices thus far - impressing the likes of veteran Damon Huard - faces competition from fifth year man Devard Darling and veteran Jeff Webb.
Webb appears out of the running, while Darling is Franklin’s main competition. Darling only has one career start in four seasons, but scored three TDs in limited time last year with Baltimore.
Chiefs Add Two WRs On Day Two…
April 27, 2008
The Kansas City Chiefs added two wide receivers on day two, after not addressing the position in the first two rounds. Will Franklin, 6′1″, 214 lbs., out of Missouri, was added with the 105th overall pick.
Kevin Robinson, a six-footer from Utah State was taken in round six. Neither player has a ton of seasonal fantasy potential right now, but are worth watching, due to the fact that Kansas City’s Dwayne Bowe is the only guaranteed starter on the roster. Both of the rookies will compete with Devard Darling for the starting gig opposite Bowe.
