Harry Douglas Could Be For Real

Harry Douglas Could Be For Real Our sources tell us that Falcons rookie Harry Douglas will continue to be a huge factor in the team’s offense. The third rounder from Louisville hasn’t been a consistent producer this season, but his breakout game in Week 12 against the Panthers shouldn’t be overlooked by fantasy owners.

Douglas is an incredible talent, with great hands and phenomenal speed, and with Matt Ryan becoming more and more comfortable in the Falcons’ offense, word is that offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey will be installing more spread sets. This means great things for Douglas, who is the Falcons third receiving option at the moment. Roddy White and Michael Jenkins have just burst on the scene as valid fantasy options, and now it appears Douglas could be right behind them. He had four catches for 92 yards, rushed for a TD, and returned a punt for a TD against Carolina in Week 12. Fantasy owners, especially dynasty leaguers, should absolutely keep an eye on him moving forward. If Douglas continues to play at a high level, second year man Laurent Robinson - who has been injured for most of the season - could continue to lose his fantasy luster very rapidly.

Lavelle Hawkins Contributing - After not catching a ball in the Titans’ first five games, rookie fourth round pick from California, Lavelle Hawkins, continues to earn more and more of a role in Mike Heimerdinger’s offense. The sure-handed 5′11″, 187 pounder isn’t much of a big-play threat, but could develop into a very solid possession threat, according to our sources. We here Hawkins reminds Heimerdinger of a Derrick Mason-esque player, who could become a mainstay in the Titans offense. Hawkins has only seven catches for 68 yards in his last six games, but is someone to watch moving forward.

Don’t Sleep On Dolphins’ WR Options - Our sources tell us that 2007 first round pick Ted Ginn, who has come alive of late and hauled in four or more passes in six of his last eight games, and has quietly caught 43 balls for 596 yards this season, is not the only legit receiving option for the ‘Phins. Newly extended Greg Camarillo caught six passes for 75 yards and a score, just three weeks after hauling in 11 balls for 111 yards. Word is that rookie Davone Bess, who has caught a pass in every game this season, has the highest fantasy potential as all of the ‘Phins’ pass catchers. Bess caught a season-high five passes for 87 yards in Week 12 and will continue to be more and more involved as the playoffs approach. The more Bess plays, the better the entire Dolphins WR corps will be.

Redskins Rookies To Start Playing More - You may have noticed a recurring theme of this article. We’re talking about rookie WRs who haven’t quite been at the forefront of the fantasy world this season, but still have some serious PO. The Redskins’ pass friendly West Coast offense is home to two other rookies with immense talent - second round picks Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly. Our sources tell us that Kelly will absolutely be on the field more, now that he’s fully recovered from nagging injuries earlier in the season. Kelly is a possession threat, who also should be a red zone target, while Thomas is prototype number one WR, capable of beating out Antwaan Randle El in 2009.
