Jets' wide receiver Brad Smith is hoping to return to action this week, according to Newsday. Smith has been out since Week 5 with a quad injury.

There was some belief that Smith would be ready to return before the bye, but the team kept him out in a precautionary move. He got treatment at the team facility during the bye, and it looks like he should be good to go this week.
