The News
According to the National Football Post, the Jets are less likely to extend Thomas Jones' contract now that they are in negotiations to sign first round pick Mark Sanchez. Jones has skipped the team's pre-draft minicamp to let the Jets know he is not happy with his current deal.
Our View
If Jones was unhappy with the Jets before, he is going to be really mad now. Not only do the Jets need money to pay Sanchez, but they also traded up in the draft to get running back Shonn Green, the top rusher on their board. Jones better figure out what he is going to do, because right now it doesn't appear as if he will be getting his new deal.
