Morris in line for bigger role?

The News
The Lions are considering adopting a two-running back system, with Maurice Morris taking on an increased role in the offense, according to the Detroit News.

Our View
Kevin Smith's carries would be scaled back a bit. So far in 2009, Morris is averaging 4.1 yards per carry on 26 carries, while Smith is averaging just 3.1 on 125. It's hard to envision this making Morris fantasy viable, considering the state of the Lions offense (25th in total offense), but if you are desperate for a running back, he would at least be worth a flier as a flex play or bye-week back.
