Add NBA legend Willis Reed to the list of people that hope Dwight Freeney plays through his ankle injury and suits up for Super Bowl XLIV on Sunday, according to the Bergen Record.

"I think Dwight Freeney should do everything he can to play in this game," said Reed, a life-long Louisiana resident, and huge Saints fan. Reed famously played through severe leg pain in the 1970 NBA Finals to help the Knicks to a stirring upset victory over Wilt Chamberlain and the Lakers. He speaks for all of us, Dwight: as long as there's not a chance you'll damage your long-term health, do whatever it takes to play on Sunday.
