The Panthers claimed rookie tight end Andrew Davie off waivers from the New York Jets on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.
Our View
"Rookie" isn't exactly the right word for Davie, as he is 26. But he has spent the last four years in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league baseball system, and not on a football field. He's probably a longshot to make the Panthers at this point, but a good story to keep an eye on.
