"Barring any setbacks," Dwight Freeney (ankle) will play in Super Bowl XLIV on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

File this one under "obvious." Unless he literally could not walk, there was no way Freeney was not going to go. It's funny that Schefter is the one to break the news, since earlier this week he rather emphatically stated there was no way the dominant defensive end would play. Now the only question is, how effective will he be?
