The Green Bay Press-Gazette is reporting that the Packers have placed starting center Jason Spitz on injured reserve, ending his 2009 season. Spitz is dealing with a lower back injury.
Our View
This is awful news for a team that is already struggling mightily on the offensive line. He hadn't played since October 5, but this means the team won't be getting any help on the line any time soon. Aaron Rodgers better get used to being on his back, because there doesn't look like much relief in sight.
