The Redskins released Shaun Suisham on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Suisham had struggled the past few weeks and shanked a 23-yard try wide right on Sunday that could have secured a Redskins win over the Saints that they eventually lost in overtime. Graham Gano was signed to replace him.
