According to Nick Scurfield on Twitter, the Texans will exercise Matt Schaub's $10 million option bonus this offseason.
Our View
The Texans are pleased with Schaub's emergence as one of the league's best quarterbacks and his part in delivering the franchise's first ever winning season. Coach Gary Kubiak will be back next year as well, and it appears that the Texans will have a nice core group of players next year to make a run at the postseason. They just missed the playoffs this year when the Jets edged them out by destroying the Bengals on Sunday night.
