The News
Brian Westbrook did not talk to the media on Friday, but head coach Andy Reid tells the Philadelphia Inquirer that the running back "moved around well." Westbrook played through a severe right ankle sprain and a sore left knee in 2008. He had the knee scoped after the season. The Eagles plan to limit his mini-camp reps.
Our View
It's no mystery to fantasy owners that Westbrook is an injury risk, as he misses at least one game on an annual basis. The Eagles wisely drafted LeSean McCoy in the second round, and the rookie will be asked to replace Correll Buckhalter and keep Westbrook fresh. Westbrook still has a ton of potential, but he also carries obvious red flags.
