Podcast Episode 3: An Interview with WNBA Legend Barbara Farris

My Former Co-Worker And I Catch Up And Talk About Life Experiences Through Travel and Working with Young People

By: Paul Hickey, Founder / Lead Strategist – Data Driven Design | VP, Digital Strategy – SnapShot Interactive

My podcast on Anchor is so fun that I’ve decided to make a solid time commitment to it and churn out content on the platform, ranging from business, entrepreneurism and geeky digital marketing content to simply interviewing old but interesting friends and contacts of mine about what they’re up to now.

Barbara Farris, a retired 10-year WNBA Star and current teacher and high school basketball coach outside of New Orleans, joined the show to talk about her transition from pro basketball star to teacher / coach, working with today’s youth and what now drives her more than ever.

Bear with us through the first 2-3 minutes of this podcast, as the phone connection was pretty poor, but once we get into it, your ears will be pleased, trust me.

Farris is a class act, one of my favorite people I’ve ever worked with. She helped me through some rough times early in my career in public relations and it was totally fun to catch up and talk to her about how basketball allowed her to travel the globe, which changed her life forever.

I hope you enjoy this ~40 minute show. Please leave feedback or rate me on iTunes.

Thanks for your ear!
