Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina, 6′1″, 210 lbs., 4.6 forty
Pre-NFL Draft Fantasy Profile: Perhaps the hottest WR in college right now after his record breaking season at UNC, and his final game versus West Virginia. Nicks broke the UNC record for receiving yards and TDs in 2008 and his 8 catch, 217 yard, 3TD performance against WV. We see him as having similar qualities to Kenny Britt, and he will likely be a nice complimentary receiver in the NFL. Wes Bunting (National Football Post scout) believes he’s a top 15 pick in the draft, but he’s a bit optimistic. He will be a second or third rounder, and if the Colts are looking for a compliment to Marvin Harrison, he may be their guy, or he would be a great addition to the Titans and Jags.
We feel that Nicks is at the top of the second tier of WRs for dynasty leaguers. Look for him in the second round of drafts. Make a move to get him if you are late in the second round, it will be worth the effort.
