Find out why there is more than the obvious reason to try and trade for Arizona’s Tim Hightower right now…
You may or may not have heard this strategy before, and maybe some owners in your seasonal format are used to people pulling this move, however, I recently realized that 2009 would be a great time to try and buy an extra week from some of your top performers. How do you do this? Well, start by identifying a player on your team who has a remaining bye week. Then, take a look around your league for a player similar to his caliber, who has already passed their bye week. Then, offer a straight up trade to the other owner. Below are some examples trades that would make sense, and could potentially give you an extra week of production out of a position as you get ready for your fantasy playoffs…
• Give Steve Slaton and Receive Tim Hightower
• Give Eddie Royal and Receive Greg Jennings
• Give Percy Harvin and Receive Jeremy Maclin
• Give Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw and Receive Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy
• Give Eli Manning and Receive Jay Cutler
• Give Matt Schaub and Receive Kurt Warner
