Who We Like, Who We Dislike

Even though Week 6 is shaping up to be the week of the quarterbacks, there are quite a few WRs we like to have solid weeks, including St. Louis’ Torry Holt, San Diego’s Vincent Jackson and - believe it or not - Cincy’s Chad Johnson.
Week 6 QBs we like…
There are a ton of QBs we believe have great match-ups, including David Garrard at Denver, Carson Palmer against the Jets, Eli Manning against the Browns and Gus Frerotte vs. Detroit. Owners with Drew Brees or Tony Romo shouldn’t consider any of these guys, but other than that, they’re must-start options.
Week 6 QBs we don’t like…
Guys we’re not too fond of this week actually include Peyton Manning against the Ravens and Kyle Orton at the Falcons. Even though the Colts appear to be back on track, the Ravens pass defense likely won’t be kind to the Colts and Manning could find himself on his back often. As for Orton, how much longer can he toss multiple TD passes and put up 250 plus yard games? Against he underrated Falcons pass rush - not much longer.
Week 6 RBs we like…
We really like Green Bay’s Ryan Grant to finally get to 100 yards and get into the end zone against Seattle, as well as Willis McGahee - who is finally healthy - to have a very solid game against the Colts.
Week 6 RBs we don’t like…
We’ve very wary of Julius Jones against the Packers, mostly because Mike Holmgren said Maurice Morris will split carries with him after returning from a knee injury. We also aren’t crazy about Reggie Bush or Deuce McAllister against a very solid and underrated run defense. Also, it’s time for Edgerrin James to come back down to earth after scoring three TDs in his last two games.
Week 6 WRs we like…
It may just be a gut feeling, but the Rams should be rejuvenated with Marc Bulger back in the line-up, and new head coach Jim Haslett endorsing getting Torry Holt the ball more. Look for Holt to have a solid game against the Redskins, and be a very good asset for fantasy owners for the rest of the 2008 season. Bernard Berrian has quietly been on fire lately, catching six balls for more than 100 yards and a TD against the Saints in Week 5. Berrian faces the Lions in Week 6, making him a must start WR3 in all leagues. Vincent Jackson will slide into the WR1 role in San Diego with Chris Chambers out, making him an intriguing start in Week 6. We like Santana Moss to bounce back from a shutout against the Eagles last week, as the Redskins take on the Rams defense. Expect T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chad Johnson to have a very solid week against the Jets.
TE predictions…
Sleeper TEs this week include Visanthe Shiancoe against the Lions, Anthony Fasano against Houston, Todd Heap against Indy and Greg Olsen against Atlanta.
IDP predictions…
Look for Ray Edwards, Chad Greenway, Antoine Winfield, Cedric Griffin and Darren Sharper to play well against the Lions…oh, and obviously Jared Allen will rack up some serious stats. The Giants will play well against the Browns on Monday night and Justin Tuck, Fred Robbins, Mathias Kiwanuka and Aaron Ross will all be great IDP options.
