Kevin Smith Says Lions Will Make Playoffs
May 9, 2009
Following up on a prediction he made as a rookie, Lions RB Kevin Smith wrote on his blog site, that the Lions will definitely make the playoffs in 2009 after an 0-16 season. He’s just the recent in a long line of dilusional Lions players who believe the team can turn things around quickly. In reality, the Lions will be better this season, but winning between four and six games is a much more realistic prediction. Sorry Kevin “He-Man” Smith, we love you as a breakout fantasy star in 2009, but your squad will not make the playoffs - especially with Minnesota, Chicago and Green Bay in your division.
Leon Washington Wants Mojo Money
April 18, 2009
In what might just be one of the biggest chucklers of the off-season, Jets RB Leon Washington believes he deserves Mojo Drew money (four years, $32 million). There’s no question Washington deserves a new deal, as he’s perhaps the best overall player on the Jets’ team, and certainly their top weapon on offense and special teams. But this is a bit of a He-Man type demand, as unless he’s going to carry close to a full rushing load - he won’t get this type of money.
The fact that he’s asking shows he has a bit of a high opinion of himself, but then again, our readers have a high opinion of him as well.

“Lights Out” Is Fully Healthy And Talking Smack

Chargers OLB Shawne Merriman has apparently fully recovered from PCL and LCL surgery and is reportedly back to full strength already. He told media, recently - “I feel great, and I look amazing.”
We see his trademark cockiness is in full effect and we expect him to be rushing passers at full speed in 2009. We’ll continue to monitor him heading into the season, but as of now, we expect him to be a solid LB3 at worst.

Percy Harvin Says He’s The Best WR In Draft
March 20, 2009
Word is that Florida WR Percy Harvin is feeling extremely confident about his draft status, telling some folks close to him that he feels he’s the best WR in the draft - better than Michael Crabtree and Jeremy Maclin.
He recently told ESPN.com - “I’ve dealt with adversity my whole life, so there’s nothing I can’t handle at the next level. People who don’t go through things, when they get older, it hits them and they don’t know how to handle it. I feel like I’ve been through pretty much everything, so there’s nothing I can’t handle right now.”

He-Man.
