Fantasy Impact of Favre’s Retirement
February 11, 2009
It feels like Deja Vu all over again, doesn’t it? 11 months ago, Brett Favre retired from the NFL as a member of the Green Bay Packers - a retirement that lasted less than five months. Now, he calls it quits as a member of the New York Jets, and this time he may really be done for good. Read more
Has Brett Favre Played His Last NFL Game?
January 12, 2009
Over the past two weeks, Brett Favre has found himself in the news. First of all, his Jets collapsed at the end of the 2008 season, causing teammates Thomas Jones and Kerry Rhodes to throw Favre under the bus and criticize his play and actions to the media. Oh, yeah, then there’s the million dollar question - Will Brett Favre retire, or play in 2009? Read more
Will Brett Favre Return In 2009?
January 8, 2009
It’s obviously far too early to tell, folks, but the future hall-of-famer did react to comments last week by Thomas Jones and Kerry Rhodes, saying that he did play poorly and that he believes he’s a great teammate. He did not throw dirt back at Jones or Rhodes in any way, taking the “high road.”

Angry Jets Lash Out At Brett Favre
January 3, 2009
It’s typical folks. Typical. Just days after the end of a disappointing season for the New York Jets, in which they missed the playoffs after losing their last two contests, the talk started. An angry Thomas Jones called a New York radio station to dis Favre, while another “anonymous” player voiced his opinion in a cowardly way. Read more

Week 10 - Who We Like
November 5, 2008
Notice the title of this week’s article is “who we like,” and not “who we dislike.” That’s because with the Buccaneers, Cowboys, Bengals and Redskins on bye this week, there are plenty of fantasy superstars out, leaving owners lifting up rocks, searching for any gem they can find. And we’ve got them for you. Read more
Marino Not Impressed With Favre’s 6 TDs…
September 29, 2008
According to CBS analyst Dan Marino, Brett Favre’s six-TD performance in Week 4 was “no big deal.” Marino stated - “I’ve done it before, it’s no big deal.”
Come on, Dan. Six TDs in one game? Ask any NFL fan or fantasy football owner around - that’s a big freaking deal.
Why is Dan hating on Brett and playing the “I’ve done it before” He-Man card? It could be because Favre has basically broken all of Marino’s NFL passing records over the last few seasons - AND has a Super Bowl title that Marino doesn’t. Or, maybe Marino accidentally benched Favre for Carson Palmer on his fantasy team this week.
Favre & Coles Hot Heading Into The Break…
September 28, 2008
Laveranues Coles hadn’t done much at all heading into Week 4. Not only that, but the Jets were 1-2 and Brett Favre was being accused by many analysts of not wanting to play football at all, especially in New York. All of that is obviously nonsense, as Favre tossed the rock for 289 yards and six TDs at the Meadowlands in Week 4. Read more
We Were Right About, We Were Wrong About
September 28, 2008
We’re not always right about everything, but we can say that we’re definitely correct more often than not, and we’re damn good at predicting sleepers (he-man). This week, we said that Saints WRs Lance Moore and Robert Meachem would be worthy of picking up and inserting into line-ups. Find out how Moore, Meachem and others we told you to play or avoid did in Week 4 Read more
Fantasy Football Week 1 - QB Questions
September 1, 2008
As fantasy owners get ready for Week 1, there are several question marks surrounding the quarterback position. Indy’s Peyton Manning and New England’s Tom Brady haven’t played all pre-season, and Cleveland’s Derek Anderson will attempt to return from a concussion. Also, who will start in Arizona? These issues and more are addressed in our “Week 1 QB Questions” feature. Read more
What We Can Learn From The Preseason
August 19, 2008
Skeptics will look at solid preseason performances by certain NFL players and exclaim - “ah - the preseason doesn’t matter…they’re just playing against the other team’s scrub back-ups anyway.” Well - we think that kind of closed-minded thinking is absolutely nonsense. If the preseason doesn’t matter, than why do starters start and fans attend? Just because the games don’t count, that doesn’t mean there aren’t several things fantasy owners can learn from preseason games. Read more
