Fantasy Impact Of Jay Cutler Situation
March 19, 2009
I was chatting with an owner in one of my main dynasty leagues the other day, and he was trying to trade me Jay Cutler for a pair of second round dynasty draft picks in 2009. Even though Cutler is the guy I’ve been drooling over all off-season, picturing 40 TDs and close to 5,000 yards from him in 2009, this situation in Denver had me worried enough to decline the offer for now. Last RB Standing
November 7, 2008
Move over Manning, there’s a new Peyton in town. The Denver Broncos just can’t take it anymore. Early in Week 10, Michael Pittman and Andre Hall went on injured reserve. With Selvin Young and Ryan Torain the only semi-healthy RBs in the Broncos’ stable, each looked to have a rise in fantasy value - especially Torain - until he tore his ACL against the Browns. Cutler’s Comments Worthy Of A He-Man…
October 13, 2008
No-Offseason.com is hearing that Jay Cutler recently told The Sporting News that he has “a stronger arm than John (Elway), hands down.”
“I’ll bet on it against anybody’s in the league,” he went on to say. “Brett Favre’s got a cannon. But on game days, there’s nobody in the league who’s going to throw it harder than I am.” Cutler also apparently called Denver the favorite to win the AFC.
Well, that’s the type of confidence we like to see out of a young signal caller, and quite frankly, we don’t disagree with him - about the arm strength, that is.
Brandon Marshall Returns
September 10, 2008
One issue that many fantasy outlets haven’t even discussed yet is the return of perhaps the best player in fantasy football - that’s right. Denver Broncos WR Brandon Marshall returns from a shortened suspension to face the San Diego Chargers in Week 2. Marshall should be in all fantasy line-ups, because when it’s all said and done, he may just be the most dominant force in fantasy football. Read more
Fantasy Impact: Brandon Marshall
August 8, 2008
To say that Broncos third year WR Brandon Marshall had a crazy off-season would be a total understatement. First, an incident with a McDonald’s bag, a wrestling match and a TV sent him to the hospital for major arm surgery, then a couple run-ins with the law made him a candidate for league suspension. Check out what we think of his seasonal fantasy value now that the punishment has been handed out by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Read more

Marshall Predicts 100-catch Season…
June 24, 2008
Just two weeks after saying that he couldn’t even wipe himself with his right hand after going number two, Broncos 24 year old 6′4″ WR Brandon Marshall is predicting another 100-catch season in 2008. While normally we’d agree with him, we want to first see if these reports about him being ready for training camp are in fact true.
If he’s fully healthy, than he’s “he-mannish” prediction should come true, but if he has to catch balls with his left hand all season, he’ll struggle. Sorry “Baby T.O.” but 100 catches won’t happen unless you’re healthy. Still the confidence he’s exuding should rub off on fantasy owners enough to move his average draft position up several notches.
Marshall: I Can Do Everything But Wipe Myself…
June 16, 2008
Okay, this may be a little bit out of character for us, but we do appreciate “potty humor” here at No-Offseason.com, and this is relevant for fantasy owners, of course.
According to Sirius NFL Radio, Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall told media that he can do everything with his injured right arm but wipe himself. He then added that was a bit inappropriate to say.
Marshall’s health appears to be on the up and up, so fantasy owners should expect that he will now be ready for training camp, despite our earlier reports. We hope for his hygiene’s sake that his arm continues to heal quickly.
Marshall’s injury stemmed from a living room wrestling match in which he slipped on a McDonald’s bag and put his arm through a TV. The “wiping” thing only makes this weirder.
Brandon Marshall Returns To Practice Today…
June 11, 2008
Owners of third year WR Brandon Marshall received some great news today, as their stud returned to practice, participating in some drills and catching some passes with his right hand for the first time since ramming it through a television during a living room wrestling match a few months ago.
All indications at this point are that Marshall will be ready for training camp. We still think he could get off to a slow start this season due to the injury, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be a solid fantasy WR1 again in 2008.
Javon Walker Lashes Out At Broncos…
June 9, 2008
Reportedly, former Broncos WR Javon Walker has spoken out against Denver, telling the media that they misused him last season. This doesn’t come as a surprise, but what we find funny is that Walker is making threats at his former team, but we’re not impressed with the threats.
He recently told media that the Broncos would “see (him)” on September 8, the season opener for both squads. Well, we hope so. By “see me,” we’re wondering if Walker forgot a few words. “In the endzone” perhaps? Or maybe, “catch 11 balls for 140 yards.” If he just meant “on the field” then that’s not very exciting.
Apparently Walker was fired up when he made the comments, and one thing was apparently clear - he is happy to be out of Denver. Question - has anyone told him that he plays for the Raiders?
Brandon Marshall Catches Ball One-Handed…
June 8, 2008
Broncos WR Brandon Marshall reportedly made a couple impressive catches with his left hand in practice the other day, and is able to write with his right hand once again. This is good news for now, but unless they’re starting to award fantasy points for penmanship, than we’re not impressed enough with his recovery just yet.
Word is that he’ll be cleared by June 22, but we’ll keep you updated.
