Not Jiggy With It Anymore
December 3, 2008
Saints DEs Will Smith and Charles Grant, along with RB Deuce McAllister, and Minnesota defensive tackles Kevin and Pat Williams were all suspended four games by the NFL on Tuesday for using banned substances, and there may be quite a significant fantasy impact during the final four weeks of the season. Deuce To Be Suspended, Grab Pierre Thomas Now…
October 25, 2008
Between six and 10 NFL players have reportedly failed recent drug tests and thus violating the NFL’s steroid policy. Two of the names have been released by media, and they are Saints RB Deuce McAllister and Saints DE Will Smith. Read more
The Ever-Changing RB Picture
October 1, 2008
As if the running back picture hasn’t already been complicated enough, with featured backs becoming an endangered species and rookies in time-shares producing monster numbers, the outlook got even more confusing this week. Read more
Deuce McAllister Rising, Pierre Thomas Falling…
September 29, 2008
Technically, this could fall under our We Were Right About, We Were Wrong About column, but we’ll hold the bragging for now, and just focus on the fact that there has been a change of the guard in New Orleans at the running back position, yet again. Read more

Brett Favre To Be Traded To Jets?
July 8, 2008
By now you’ve read plenty regarding former Packers QB Brett Favre and his potential return to the National Football League. SI’s Peter King recently reported that Favre’s agent Bus Cook could write a letter to Green Bay asking that Favre be removed from the reserved/retired list. It’s what would follow that remains a mystery. Read more
Ronnie, Deuce, WRs & IDPs Rising…
July 7, 2008
Two of fantasy’s former stud running backs suffered absolutely devastating injuries last season, leaving their long term fantasy owners with an extremely tough decision to make. After Ronnie Brown and Deuce McAllister each had their 2007 season snatched away by ACL tears early in the year, many cut ties with them completely, while others decided to patiently wait it out and see what happens in 2008. Why Not Draft In June?
June 21, 2008
Hey, here’s a crazy idea for fantasy owners to consider. Us so-called “experts” always do most of our drafting in June, in preparation for fantasy magazines and to help provide content for fantasy owners like yourself. However, we end up playing out these leagues, the same way we would if we drafted in August. Obviously, when drafting early, there are a whole lot more unknowns, which results in a smaller margin for error. I personally like it this way, because foresight pays off even more. If you consider yourself an astute owner, why not suggest to your league mates an early draft next year? Read more
Saints Set At Running Back…
June 2, 2008
Despite the release of Travis Henry, and the rumors that New Orleans was interested in Shaun Alexander earlier this off-season, we’ve heard that Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis are very happy with the progress of Deuce McAllister and the fire that they’ve seen from Reggie Bush.
Bush recently made some positive comments about wanting to get into the Saints facility this off-season and work his butt off. We expect improvement from Bush in year three, and for Deuce to end up being a solid fantasy RB3 in 2008.
Deuce McAllister Works Well In Practice…
May 31, 2008
29 year old Saints RB Deuce McAllister went through about a third of Saints practice yesterday, and reportedly looked solid doing it.
Rotoworld still puts a negative spin on McAllister’s value, saying he’s not guaranteed a Week 1 roster spot, but we respectfully disagree. We’ve heard that Sean Payton is high on him, and we think he has solid late round seasonal sleeper value.
Deuce McAllister To Be Ready For Camp…
May 22, 2008
Even though Saints RB Deuce McAllister sat out Saints OTAs yesterday, head coach Sean Payton said that he really expects him to be ready for training camp.
Deuce ran full speed in drills and pass routes last week, and didn’t have any setbacks. Along with teammate Jonathan Vilma, Deuce could be the fantasy comeback player of the year in 2008. We think he’ll be a great late value in seasonal leagues.
Deuce McAllister To Start Week 1…
May 6, 2008
Word out of Saints mini-camp is that 29 year old RB Deuce McAllister - a former RB1 in fantasy football - is again running at full speed after undergoing multiple knee surgeries this off-season.
We reported recently that head coach Sean Payton is a huge fan of Deuce, and had great things to say about him in a recent interview on Sirius NFL Radio.
