Earl Bennett Could Emerge In 2009
April 23, 2009
The Chicago Bears don’t currently have an elite wide receiver, or a first round pick to take one with, but they do have a potential starter in the making already on their roster, according to our sources. Following the trade for Jay Cutler, it is believed that second year man Earl Bennett, who was a teammate of Cutler’s at Vanderbilt, has what it takes to eventually become the team’s starting number two WR. Should You Buy Low On Braylon & Others?
September 19, 2008
It’s no secret that the Cleveland Browns offense is off to a pitiful start in their first two games of the 2008 NFL season. Wide receiver Braylon Edwards, who was second in the NFL with 16 TD catches last season, only has five catches for 46 yards this season, and has had a case of the dropsies, but should fantasy owners look to trade for him now, while his value is low? Experts Draft: Marvin Falls To Round 6
June 20, 2008
One of the biggest questions on the minds of fantasy owners this off-season should honestly be - "when do I swoop in and take Marvin Harrison?" One of the best WRs in recent memory should be available at an all time low price this off-season, after a 2007 campaign riddled with injuries and a 2008 off-season full of off-the-field drama. Still, the 35 year old is a competitor, and will be back to reclaim his spot in fantasy starting line-ups in 2008. Read more
Felix Jones Should Have PPR Value…
June 17, 2008
KFFL is reporting that Cowboys rookie RB Felix Jones has been lining up at slot WR in certain formations in practice. There’s no doubt that the Cowboys will get Jones some touches, in the same vain as Reggie Bush, Darren McFadden and Chris Johnson. Dallas has one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, so Jones definitely shouldn’t be overlooked, especially in PPR (points per reception) formats.
Barber & Jones To Line-Up Together?
June 11, 2008
Rotoworld is reporting that Cowboys RBs Marion Barber and Felix Jones will line up together in some of OC Jason Garrett’s offensive packages this season. Barber is a legit RB1 in all formats, while Jones has minimal seasonal value. Still, Dallas’ offense is definitely explosive enough for both of them to produce - especially in PPR formats, so keep an eye on Jones.

The Impact Of Marion Barber’s Deal
May 22, 2008
Most of the time, fantasy owners couldn’t care less about contract news, especially when the news involves players staying with their current team. However, in Marion Barber’s case, fantasy owners may not realize what just occurred. Had Marion Barber not re-upped with Dallas, inking a seven year, $40+ million deal on Tuesday afternoon, the dynasty outlook of a couple young running backs could have drastically changed entering 2008 rookie drafts. Tie Goes To The Raider
May 19, 2008
We’ve made it pretty clear how we feel about Raiders rookie RB Darren McFadden as a dynasty prospect, ranking him in our top 15 overall players. We’ve also have made it obvious that he’s the best seasonal rookie running back prospect. That’s why, at the conclusion of our recent No-Offseason Reader’s Poll, we’ve given the edge to D-Mac, even though just as many readers thought Jonathan Stewart was a better investment in 2008. Marion Barber’s Value Holding Strong…
May 17, 2008
The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Marion Barber will get between 18-20 carries a game, and rookie RB Felix Jones will see 8-10 looks. This sounds about right to us. Barber is a stud RB1 in our eyes this season - possibly his last with the Cowboys. Jones has strong dynasty potential, as the Cowboys possible back of 2009 and beyond.
Dynasty owners picking in the late first round of their rookie drafts should definitely eye up Jones, as he’s likely to have solid value as a potential every week flex contributor as early as the end of 2008.
