Justin Durant Could Be An IDP Stud
July 13, 2009
You all know by now that we pride ourselves on being the first to make a call about a player. Well, we’ve always been high on Jags LB Justin Durant, and now we have reason to be even higher on him. Read more
Wes Welker Returns To Practice…
June 8, 2008
Word out of Patriots camp is that fantasy stud Wes Welker had missed the past few days of practice with an undisclosed injury, but returned today. The Patriots don’t give injury updates, but we assume that this isn’t anything serious, due to the fact that it’s only June, and players resting minor injuries is very common this time of year.
What’s interesting is that while Welker was out, Chad Jackson worked with the first team, and Jabar Gaffney took Welker’s place in the slot.
Hester, Vilma, Porter, Gaffney, Koutouvides Rising…
March 25, 2008
Rising - Devin Hester, Bears WR - There is a bit of buzz going around right now regarding third year 25 year old speedster Devin Hester. In his first two seasons in the league, he’s already established himself as the game’s premier return man and perhaps one of the best return specialists of all time. The Hester at wide receiver experiment in 2007 didn’t exactly light the world on fire, but he still caught a reasonable 20 passes for 299 yards and two TDs. Our eyebrows are officially raised folks, as Hester currently sits atop Chicago’s WR depth chart. Brandon Lloyd, Marty Booker and Mark Bradley aren’t likely to be fantasy studs, but Hester has Lee Evans type potential if he can fine tune his route running and hands. Read more
Desmond Clark Returns To Chicago…
February 25, 2008
The Bears extended veteran TE Desmond Clark through 2010 be giving the 31 year old a $5 million deal. We still consider second year TE Greg Olsen to be the much better fantasy option heading into 2008.
Muhsin Muhammad, Free Agent WR
No-Offseason.com
There are conflicting reports regarding whether the Panthers will sign the 35 year old Muhammad. We consider it extremely likely. Muhammad landing in Carolina would be a mere speed bump to Dwayne Jarrett, who we consider a phenomenal dynasty prospect.
Glenn Dorsey, LSU DT
No-Offseason.com
Dorsey, one time considered a shoe-in for the first overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, now has a fractured right tibia, which could seriously affect his draft stock.
Jabar Gaffney, Patriots WR
No-Offseason.com
Gaffney is reportedly working on a deal that would keep him in New England. If he lands back in Foxborough, he’s a late round fantasy flyer in 2008.
Darren McFadden, Arkansas RB
No-Offseason.com
McFadden’s draft stock and fantasy stock shot up after his 4.33 forty time at the 2008 NFL combine.
Deuce McAllister, Saints RB
No-Offseason.com
The Saints are still saying that they plan on keeping 28 year old RB Deuce McAllister. The veteran is coming off his second ACL tear in three seasons and while he could still be a solid contributor, he’s sure to face competition from Pierre Thomas, who finished 2007 on a high note for the complimentary role to Reggie Bush. Overall though, McAllister could be a great buy low candidate in keeper formats or late round pick in seasonal leagues.
