Larry Foote Is On The Fantasy Radar

May 6, 2009

Larry Foote Is On The Fantasy RadarIt’s no secret, the Detroit Lions have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. So, while no team defense owners will be selecting the Lions’ unit in their draft this year, that doesn’t mean that they can’t yield at least one or two solid individual defensive players for fantasy owners to take a look at. Dizon To Back-Up Lenon For Now…

June 16, 2008

KFFL reports that entering training camp, Lions rookie LB will enter as the back-up middle linebacker to Paris Lenon - last season’s starter. After Dizon was drafted in the second round in April, Lions head coach Rod Marinelli said that Dizon would have a shot to start at MLB in 2008, which made his fantasy value jump. Dizon apparently still has some learning and proving to do before that happens.

Keep him in your back pocket for now, and be prepared to take him as a late round sleeper in deep seasonal and keeper IDP drafts in August. Lenon isn’t that great, so Dizon has a serious change to step in and make an impact in 2008. We’ll follow this closely.

See where Dizon ranks in our IDP rankings.

Dustin Keller Has Serious Potential

May 2, 2008

dustin-keller.jpgSince the Jets traded up into the first round to select Purdue TE Dustin Keller with the 30th overall pick in the NFL Draft, our sources have been absolutely raving about him. The 6′3″, 242 pounder had an amazing combine, and is really more of a wide receiver. He has great speed and is known as a seam-busting TE. Our sources tell us that the Jets will plan to use Keller similar to the way the Colts use TE Dallas Clark - as more of a third WR, than a traditional tight end. Read more

Who Is Houston’s Donnie Avery?

April 16, 2008

donnie-avery.jpgWe’ve already had nearly 15 wide receivers get snatched up in the first two and a half rounds, so what makes today’s WR - Donnie Avery - so special? The University of Houston product is someone that could get seriously overlooked due to the fact that he played at a smaller school. He has great speed and has been compared to Torry Holt by some scouts. See who gets him. Read more
