Looking For Week 1 Line-Up Advice?

Is Detroit’s Kevin Smith a “must-start” against New Orleans? He’s looked like a monster in the pre-season, but should he be in your line-up over guys like Brandon Jacobs or Steve Slaton? Read more
Kevin Smith Says Lions Will Make Playoffs
May 9, 2009
Following up on a prediction he made as a rookie, Lions RB Kevin Smith wrote on his blog site, that the Lions will definitely make the playoffs in 2009 after an 0-16 season. He’s just the recent in a long line of dilusional Lions players who believe the team can turn things around quickly. In reality, the Lions will be better this season, but winning between four and six games is a much more realistic prediction. Sorry Kevin “He-Man” Smith, we love you as a breakout fantasy star in 2009, but your squad will not make the playoffs - especially with Minnesota, Chicago and Green Bay in your division.
Fantasy Impact: Stafford To Lions
April 24, 2009
Well, the new regime of Jim Schwartz and Martin Mayhew appear to already be making strides towards turning around a dismal 0-16 franchise. During the same week when president Tom Lewand practically made his own pants move over the team’s new “ferocious and animated” logo, the football folks wisely played two players against each other and got their man with the number one overall pick. We Were Right About, We Were Wrong About
December 14, 2008
All week we told fantasy owners to keep an eye out for Colts RB Dominic Rhodes against the Lions in Week 15. First of all, Detroit has allowed more TDs to back-up RBs than any other team this season. Secondly, Joseph Addai didn’t look like he’d play due to a shoulder injury. Read more
Week 11 - Who We Like, Who We Dislike
November 12, 2008
Lions rookie RB Kevin Smith is among those players we’re advising fantasy owners to stay away from this week. Not only does he have an unfriendly match-up at Carolina, but he’s suffering from a groin injury. Check out who else we like and dislike in Week 11. Read more

Rookies Rising; Bryant, Floyd Worthy Of Looks…
October 19, 2008
Plenty of dynasty owners went out on a limb and drafted San Francisco’s Josh Morgan before guys like Denver’s Eddie Royal and Philly’s DeSean Jackson this season, hoping to cash in on a young WR in Mike Martz’s offense. Up until Week 8, those that invested in Morgan had been severely disappointed. The same goes for dynasty owners that invested in Detroit RB Kevin Smith. With guys like Tennessee’s Chris Johnson, Houston’s Steve Slaton and Chicago’s Matt Forte among several other rookie RBs lighting up the stat column this season, it looked like Smith owners would regret passing on several others. However, that outlook also appeared to do a complete 180 in Week 7. Read more

Kevin Smith Predicts Lions Playoff Win…
August 6, 2008
Detroit rookie RB Kevin Smith took “He-Man” to a whole new level by joining a long line of foolish Lions players to make horribly ridiculous predictions about the success of their team.
You have to give the naive rookie credit for being positive, but he obviously hasn’t been around Detroit long enough to let the losing sink in.
Smith has high hopes for himself and the team in 2008, predicting the Lions’ first playoff win since 1957, and saying that he thinks the team will go to the Super Bowl within the next three years.
We have some concerns about Smith, but overall he’s a solid dynasty prospect as Detroit’s starting RB of the present and future.
