Michael Bush Could Garner Large Role

September 19, 2008

Michael Bush Could Garner Large Role We’ve been telling Michael Bush’s long term owners to stay patient with him. The 6′1″, 260 lb. back from Louisville is dynamic and has first round talent despite being selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Now, as the 2008 NFL season starts to unfold, Bush is starting to look like he could play a huge role in Oakland’s offense. Read more

Super Sleeper Running Backs

June 26, 2008

michael-bush.jpgBecause five of the top 25 and 13 of the top 40 fantasy RBs were plucked from the waiver wire in 2007, and guys like Earnest Graham, Ryan Grant, Kenny Watson, Chicago’s Adrian Peterson and Justin Fargas made names for themselves, fantasy owners are now forced to pay attention to just about every single running back on all 32 rosters - but how do you sift through the clutter to find the best super sleepers? Cedric Benson Not Focused On Football

June 6, 2008

cedric-benson.jpgWondering why former fourth overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft Cedric Benson has grossly underachieved during his first three seasons in the NFL? Our sources tell us that the main reason for his lack of burst, speed and quite frankly - understanding of the NFL game - is a major lack of focus. Michael Bush Looks Great In Practice…

June 4, 2008

We’re hearing that Raiders RB Michael Bush has looked very solid in recent practices. While it’s tough to judge the true potential of running backs when nobody is wearing pads, Bush has impressed the coaching staff with his pass catching ability and speed.

There’s still hope for him to carve out a role in Oakland’s backfield with Darren McFadden. Justin Fargas’ future appears to be shaky, and LaMont Jordan will be out the door soon enough.

Justin Fargas Works As Starter At Mini-Camp…

May 16, 2008

Justin Fargas opened Raiders mini-camp as the starter at RB. We view this as a similar situation to what happened in Minnesota last year, where Chester Taylor opened as the starter when healthy but Adrian Peterson handled most of the production early on.

Fargas has minimal seasonal value. We borderline like Michael Bush better in all formats.

All in all, McFadden is a future fantasy stud and the guy to own in Oakland.

Michael Bush Looks Great In Practice…

May 10, 2008

Michael Bush, a fourth round draft pick in 2007, hasn’t played in a football game in nearly two full calendar years. At 6′2″, 250, he’s a potential beast of an NFL rusher, with phenomenal speed and power. Despite the presence of rookie Darren McFadden, and 2007 1,000 yard rusher Justin Fargas, Bush will get an opportunity to play and contribute in 2008. He has reportedly looked great in rookie mini-camp. Although he’s not technically a rookie, he still hasn’t played in an NFL game. One thing most folks don’t know about Bush, is that he’s a great receiver out of the backfield.

Here is a look at the biggest name players to have their fantasy value affected based on the 2008 NFL Draft… Read more
