Dipping Dynasty Value
December 3, 2008
This time of year, fantasy owners are usually doing one of a few things – either preparing for a playoff run, moping around and fussing because their team “barely” missed the playoffs, or – in the case of dynasty owners – scouting which players will potentially breakout down the road, and evaluating those that may be on the downturn of their statistical careers. Having WR Troubles? We Can Help.
September 30, 2008
With the likes of Anquan Boldin going down in Week 4, Braylon Edwards, Lav Coles, Jerricho Cotchery, Chansi Stuckey and Torry Holt on bye this week, and several high profile pass catchers flat out slumping big time, the answer to your WR troubles could lie in a 34-year-old man who likely isn’t on a roster in your league. Plax Too Good For Team, Suspended One Game…
September 24, 2008
Giants WR Plaxico Burress is a different kind of guy. He’s a He-Man. He pretty much does what he wants, when he wants, and this time his actions caught up to him.
After showing his teammates that he basically thinks he’s better than them by not reporting to the Giants’ facility on Monday or Tuesday - and not returning phone calls from team officials - Burress was suspended for one game by the front office and head coach Tom Coughlin.
Fantasy owners will be without Burress both this week (NYG’s bye), and next week against Seattle. Plax will return in Week 6 at Cleveland, and likely be a must-start. Expect Amani Toomer and Steve Smith to pick up the slack in his absence.

September 7, 2008
We were uneasy about Patriots QB Tom Brady this week, and he went down early with a knee injury. We were also extremely high on Eagles QB Donovan McNabb and Lions signal caller Jon Kitna in Week 1, and they came through for us huge. Find out where we went right, and where we steered owners wrong in Week 1. Read more

Jeremy Shockey Wants To Be Traded…
June 17, 2008
ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio told Sirius NFL Radio this morning that he believes Giants TE Jeremy Shockey’s actions blatantly suggest that he wants to be traded and is trying to force his way out of New York.
Shockey has recently criticized middle management, and refused to practice at mandatory mini-camp last week. Surprise, surprise, Shockey’s agent is Drew Rosenhaus. Paolantonio went on to say that he believes there is regret shared by both the Giants and Shockey with regards to not being dealt to the Saints in April, for a reported second (2008) and fifth (2009) round draft choice, and that his value is much lower now than it was in April, due to the fact that the Giants may “have to trade Shockey.”
Paolantonio covered the Giants mini-camp last week for ESPN, and also chimed in about the Plaxico Burress contract situation, saying he thinks Plax made a tactical error by kicking and screaming at practice last week about not having a deal done yet, when Jerry Reese is negotiating in good faith with Rosenhaus.
We see this all working out by training camp. Plax will have a deal done and be a solid fantasy WR2. Shockey will stay with the Giants and regain his spot as a solid fantasy TE1 in 2008.
Experts Draft: Roddy White Goes In Rd. 3
June 16, 2008
Falcons WR Roddy White had a breakout third season in 2007, hauling in 83 passes for 1,202 yards and six scores in Bobby Petrino and Hue Jackson’s high flying offense, but will the stat column translate over to 2008 under the much more conservative and run-friendly Mike Smith and Mike Mularkey? We don’t think so, but find out who did, as we analyze the third round of our most recent experts league draft. Read more
Giants Finger-Pointing Over Burress’ Absence…
June 13, 2008
Rotoworld reports Giants center Shaun O’Hara publicly critized WR Plaxico Burress for not practice while trying to negotiate a new contract.
Come on! First of all, you guys won the freaking Super Bowl last season. Secondly, Burress says he played through a few injuries last season that would’ve put most folks on injured reserve immediately. Lastly, we all saw what happened to Javon Walker in 2005 in Green Bay. Walker reported to camp after Brett Favre criticized him, only to blow out his ACL in Week 1. Walker was making less than $1 million a year at the time. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but give Plax a break.
Plaxico Burress To Hold Out?
June 11, 2008
It doesn’t seem likely that the number one receiver for the defending Super Bowl Champions would hold out of training camp because of a contract dispute, but Plaxico Burress showed up to Giants practice today “for business reasons” but didn’t participate. He told media that he’s healthy enough to practice, but wouldn’t take the field until his contract situation is all worked out.
He did not seem pleased with his current deal, and did not guarantee that he’d attend training camp if it were still in place by the end of July.
