Week 6 - We Were Right About…
October 18, 2009
Continuing our tradition of analyzing our weekly predictions, NoOffseason.com was of course right about several predictions in Week 6, but wrong about a few as well. Perhaps our preseason prediction regarding Baltimore’s Ray Rice is proving to be the most impressive. Read more
2009 Breakout Players & Impact Rookies
August 30, 2009
So I’m fresh off my dynasty league rookie-only draft (year five of our league), and I’ve got rookies on the brain. However, I feel it’s only appropriate to delve into perhaps the most key topic this time of year. Owners that can identify and select “breakout players” – defined as guys who make the jump from being an occasional bye week or injury fill in to every week starter – as well as “impact rookies” – a pretty self explanatory term – can give themselves a huge advantage over the rest of their league. Here’s a position-by-position look at my top breakout players and impact rookies for 2009. Read more

Next To Emerge?
February 19, 2009
In the rapidly evolving age of committee backfields, fantasy football owners are constantly searching for “the next playmaker.” While plenty of 2008 rookie RBs put their stamp on the fantasy football community, there were a handful that still left a few things to be desired. What will happen to the “best of the rest” in 2009? Read more
Sophomore Sleepers - Running Backs
February 18, 2009
The 2008 fantasy season was nearly dominated by rookies, especially first year ball carriers. 1,000 yard rushers like Chris Johnson, Steve Slaton and Matt Forte made dynasty owners drool and seasonal owners rethink who the top players in fantasy football really are. Detroit’s Kevin Smith even burst onto the scene late in the year, Carolina’s Jonathan Stewart scored 10 TDs in limited work, and Dallas’ Tashard Choice was a top fantasy performer during the season’s final three weeks. However, fantasy owners should still expect more from the 2008 rookie class. Read more
Week 10 - Who We Like
November 5, 2008
Notice the title of this week’s article is “who we like,” and not “who we dislike.” That’s because with the Buccaneers, Cowboys, Bengals and Redskins on bye this week, there are plenty of fantasy superstars out, leaving owners lifting up rocks, searching for any gem they can find. And we’ve got them for you. Read more
Greg Camarillo Is The Next Wes Welker
November 2, 2008
If you’re still surprised by the emergence of 6′1″ slot man Greg Camarillo - don’t be. The Dolphins leading receiver has 43 catches for 483 yards this season, following an 11-catch, 111 yard game in Week 9 against the Broncos. Our sources tell us that the 26 year old from Stanford is legit. Read more
Evans Has Chemistry With Edwards
July 31, 2008
Bills 27 year old fifth year WR Lee Evans has had a solid pro career thus far, despite not having much stability at the QB position. He began his career catching balls from veteran Drew Bledsoe, and has had to adjust to catching passes from J.P. Losman and Trent Edwards over the past two seasons. However, it looks like Evans and the Bills have finally found their fit in 2008. Read more

July 28, 2008
It’s that time of year again folks - not quite the most exciting time of year, but close! Training camp is here, and the regular season is about one month away. What does this mean? Fantasy football player values are constantly fluctuating as positions are fought for, contract disputes work themselves out, injuries occur and the last few transactions are made. That’s why it’s extremely important to follow our weekly stock market report very closely, as well as go back and read our previous posts. Read more
BAL: McGahee to be pressed by Rice?

Super Sleeper Running Backs
June 26, 2008
Because five of the top 25 and 13 of the top 40 fantasy RBs were plucked from the waiver wire in 2007, and guys like Earnest Graham, Ryan Grant, Kenny Watson, Chicago’s Adrian Peterson and Justin Fargas made names for themselves, fantasy owners are now forced to pay attention to just about every single running back on all 32 rosters - but how do you sift through the clutter to find the best super sleepers? Ravens’ Ray Rice Drawing Praise…
June 21, 2008
Not only has Ravens second round pick Ray Rice recently lined up as a slot receiver in new OC Cam Cameron’s offense, but he’s also apparently drawn high praise from coaches, regarding his ability to back-up Willis McGahee.
No-Offseason Take: We said this much earlier this off-season, but we believe Rice has the skills to be the next Michael Turner. A back who impresses big time when he plays, but backs up a stud for the first few years of his career prior to earning a starting role elsewhere down the line. This means we like Rice a lot in dynasty leagues.
