Third Round IDP Prospects…

April 27, 2008

A few fantasy IDP prospects were taken in the third round…

- Miami OLB Tavares Gooden went to Baltimore, where he’ll compete with Bart Scott for playing time, potentially on the weak side of John Harbaugh’s new 4-3 alignment.

- Virginia Tech DE Chris Ellis was drafted by the Buffalo Bills, and the 6′4″, 260 pounder will compete to start opposite Aaron Schobel as a pass rushing DE. He’s someone to keep an eye on in deep leagues.

- Oklahoma DB Reggie Smith was taken by the 49ers. Smith can play safety and corner, but Mike Nolan has said Smith will compete to start at corner.

- Dajuan Morgan, a safety from North Carolina State, was taken by the Chiefs. Morgan could start a FS next to Bernard Pollard.

- The Ravens took Notre Dame FS Tom Zbikowski, but he likely won’t have much IDP PO with Ed Reed in front of him on the depth chart.

- The Falcons took Cal safety Thomas DeCoud. With Lawyer Milloy aging, DeCoud is someone for dynasty owners to keep an eye on.
