September 2, 2009

I Think Ive Found The Next Wes WelkerTwo years ago, the Patriots acquired a nice young kick and punt returner/slot receiver from the Dolphins via trade. Little did fantasy owners know that player - Wes Welker - would lead the NFL in receptions over the next two year period. Read more

Know Your League’s Scoring System

June 17, 2009

Know Your Leagues Scoring SystemIIf you’re anything like me, you’re intrigued when fantasy owners from different leagues adamantly dispute the value of players. Whether it be during a casual night out with friends, or during heated draft preparation, there are plenty of intriguing debates regarding guys like Brandon Jacobs, Wes Welker, Reggie Bush and others. “No Fun League” Penalizes Welker’s Snow Angels…

December 28, 2008

Following Wes Welker’s third touchdown of the season in Week 16 against the Cardinals, he ran into the end zone and did some classy snow angels - perhaps the most solid TD celebration of the season. You know, the way you used to do it when you were in the back yard playing with your friends.

Well, of course, he was flagged for a celebration penalty. This is the perfect example of the NFL stepping in and crushing Welker’s He-Man Holiday moment and pulling an Ebenezer Scrooge. Check it out…

Matt Cassel Returns To Patriots

December 12, 2008

Matt Cassel Returns To Patriots Sunday’s match-up against the Oakland Raiders is sure to be an emotional one for the New England Patriots. Not only can the 8-5 Pats still win their division if they win out - which would be a phenomenal feat considering they’d have done it without 2007 NFL MVP Tom Brady - but QB Matt Cassel returns to start after the sudden death of his father. Cowboys May Have No Choice But To Play Tashard

December 4, 2008

Cowboys May Have No Choice But To Play Tashard We told fantasy owners how much we liked Tashard Choice way back before the NFL Draft this past off-season. After Dallas drafted both he and Felix Jones, it looked like Choice may not have the dynasty potential we thought he would in a different situation. However, now that Jones is out for the season, and starter Marion Barber is nursing an injured foot, the Cowboys may have no choice, but to play the talented rookie. Read more

Experts Draft: Roddy White Goes In Rd. 3

June 16, 2008

roddy-white.jpgFalcons WR Roddy White had a breakout third season in 2007, hauling in 83 passes for 1,202 yards and six scores in Bobby Petrino and Hue Jackson’s high flying offense, but will the stat column translate over to 2008 under the much more conservative and run-friendly Mike Smith and Mike Mularkey? We don’t think so, but find out who did, as we analyze the third round of our most recent experts league draft. Read more

Wes Welker Returns To Practice…

June 8, 2008

Word out of Patriots camp is that fantasy stud Wes Welker had missed the past few days of practice with an undisclosed injury, but returned today. The Patriots don’t give injury updates, but we assume that this isn’t anything serious, due to the fact that it’s only June, and players resting minor injuries is very common this time of year.

What’s interesting is that while Welker was out, Chad Jackson worked with the first team, and Jabar Gaffney took Welker’s place in the slot.
