Out With The Old RBs - In With The New
March 22, 2009
Sometimes seasonal owners have a tendency to rely on the same old trusty guys that have had big games for them in the past. In the past, being conservative was a solid idea on draft day, but in many cases it’s necessary to get with the times and anticipate who the younger, up-and-coming players are - especially at the running back position. Guys who have produced consistently in the past, like Thomas Jones, Jamal Lewis, Larry Johnson, Willie Parker, LaDainian Tomlinson and Brian Westbrook - are all nearing the end of the line in terms of fantasy production. Dipping Dynasty Value
December 3, 2008
This time of year, fantasy owners are usually doing one of a few things – either preparing for a playoff run, moping around and fussing because their team “barely” missed the playoffs, or – in the case of dynasty owners – scouting which players will potentially breakout down the road, and evaluating those that may be on the downturn of their statistical careers. Heading into Week 7, Matt Schaub has thrown for more than 300 yards in each of his last two games, and he faces the lowly Detroit Lions this week- at home. Look for Schaub to be one of fantasy’s top signal callers, and don’t hesitate to start him if you have him. Read more

October 14, 2008
Since rushing for a total of 243 yards and two scores on 53 carries in Weeks 1 & 2, Willie Parker hasn’t given his owners much to get excited about, as he’s missed Pittsburgh’s last two and a half games with a knee injury. Read more

Tom Brady Out For The Season With ACL Tear…
September 7, 2008

Experts Draft: There’s Value In Round 5
June 19, 2008
Throughout our entire experts draft, I’ve been stressing the importance behind waiting until round five to take a quarterback. As you’ll see, there are plenty of top signal callers available at this point in our draft. However, QB isn’t the only position where value can be found, as Detroit’s Calvin Johnson, Kansas City’s Dwayne Bowe and Green Bay’s Greg Jennings are all top young WRs who flew off the board in round five. Willie Parker Is Confident In Health…
May 30, 2008
Steelers 27 year old RB Willie Parker feels like he’s recovered from a fractured fibula. The thing is though, that he’s been extremely limited in practice. He recently told media that he’d be out there going 100 percent if it were the season. We’re a little nervous about Parker this season. We believe Rashard Mendenhall may be the true RB to own in Pittsburgh this season.
Rashard Mendenhall Returns…
May 22, 2008
Steelers rookie RB Rashard Mendenhall participated in individual drills on Wednesday despite a hamstring injury. He likely won’t go full speed any time soon, as a precautionary measure. The Steelers believe he’ll be 100 percent by training camp and that has to be their focus at this point.
As for seasonal fantasy outlook for Mendenhall, we’re starting to like him a lot. We realize he has a ceiling with Willie Parker as the starter, but he’s talented enough to land a “1A” role, and produce enough to be a flex starter in deep leagues.
